[Originally to be released on Australia Day, 26th January, however the intention for this song is to be 'all inclusive' so being aware that some people may view Australia Day as 'invasion day', the 13th February was chosen instead because on that date in 2008, Australia's National Parliament apologised to Australia's First Nations peoples for past wrongs and laid claim to a future that embraces all Australians].

Would just like to thank everyone for the response to our February 2019 duet release, 'My Family and Me' written and sung by Thomas and Tessa Libreri (Destiny Band Oz). It debuted at #1 on the Country Songs Top 40 Australian Airplay and remained at #1 for 9 weeks! Equaling the current chart record. It also went to #1 on the official Tasmanian Country Chart and #1 on the International Joyce Ramgatie Top 40 Country Chart! It won the USA Akademia Music Award for Best Country song in February 2019 and has just been nominated in the USA Josie Music Awards (as well as 5 other nominations for Destiny Band Oz). Destiny Band Oz are also named finalists in 6 categories of the International Singer-Songwriter Association Awards and the Independent Country Music Association Awards so far this year! Here are a few updates from Destiny Band Oz... in October 2018, we won the 2018 National Country Band of the Year at the Tasmanian Independent Country Music Awards! In November 2018 we released our latest album called 'Changes' in January 2019, we won the Gold Medallion Media Award for 2018 Band or Duo at Tamworth Country Music Festival and also won 3 International music awards for our songs between September 2018 and February 2019!

We are also extremely happy to report that our February single release, 'My Family and Me' DEBUTED at NUMBER ONE on the Country Songs Australian Airplay Top 40 Chart a week after its release and remained at #1 for 9 weeks! Equaling the current record for longest time at #1 on that chart! (This is our 2nd number one song on this chart).

Destiny Band Oz will be touring venues in Tasmania in October 2019 and touring Australia venues in 2020 kicking off at Australia's biggest country music festival, Tamworth. Our latest single is our version of the old classic 'Danny Boy' which has already hit the Top 10 of the Australian Top 40 Airplay Chart and more releases are coming soon!
