As a local figure Diana has distinguished herself amongst various social and artistic circles in the Miami arena. Such circles have permitted Diana a space to promote herself as an artist in the Latin Pop genre; a musician of the highest caliber; and a songwriter whose lyrics combined with a musical production forms part of a mosaic of talent and a project years in the making—Las Puertas del Corazón.

Diana’s trajectory expands all the way back to her home country in Colombia. She formed part of musical groups in venues such as Años Locos, La Prenderia Bar, Drive in Cerritos, and performing in festivals like FestiBuga and Rufino José Cuervo, appearing on interviews with Telecafé and local radio stations. These were truly the formative years which produced the seminal part of what has become Las Puertas del Corazón—songs like “Donde Falta el Amor” and “Salvate Conmigo” produced by Andres Saavedra; “Café” produced by Lalo Paredes; “Mio”, “Esperando” and “Las Puertas del Corazón” produced by Gabriel Cifuentes.

“’Café’ is particularly important to me. I wrote it a few days after I immigrated to the United States. It talks about the hardships of being away from home and being in a strange place” says Diana. In 2003 she immigrated to the United States and continued to work on her music with a new horizon in mind and the ‘American dream’ keeping her active in her struggle.

Today Diana Naranjo presents her musical production ¨Las Puertas del Corazon¨ which has been considered on thte list of the Latin Grammy icategory ¨Mejor Album Vocal Pop Tradicional, äs Puertas del Corazon¨ a step forward, leaving behind footprints of all types, proof of her trajectory.

In Miami Diana has been invited to perform in Univision, La Mega, Caracol and Soi TV. Her single, “Esperando”, is an exclusive composition written and performed for Renacer Films, a feature production. In 2011 she was a special guest at the Orlando Ola Fest Film Festival, and she participated on her first musical, “Seré Yo?” produced by Rosalba Maldonado. In 2013 she was a featured guest for the “Belleza Colombiana Gala Reina” at the Hyatt Regency Hotel. She was also invited to perform next to Venezuelan musical celebrities like Amaury Gutierrez, Fernando Osorio, Juan Carlos Perez, for the promotional short film “El Mundo que Soñe”, an initiative and artistic congregation aimed to promote world peace and better hopes for Venezuela. She has also performed in Calle 8 and other nonprofit events like Common Ground for Conservation, America Verde, SaludArte and Perla de Esperanza.

The first music video she worked on was filmed in Colombia. It has now more than 10,000 views. On working towards the production her second video, I am counting on a professional team of filmmakers and producers like Ika Santamaria, whose short film “Flea Market” was featured on the Cannes Film Festival 2013 Short Film Corner. This team has a strong background and sense of commitment, making them the perfect fit for the company culture and working environment that she wants to create for her upcoming productions.
