June 30 -- Seattle Guelaguetza @ Dr Blanche Lavizzo Park This is a huge and popular outdoor festival with costumed dancers, a 15-piece band, a small guitar/violin quartet, dancing devils, food, sunshine, the works! I support Banda Gozona as lead saxophonist. The event is free to all. July 11-15 -- Olympia Free Jazz Festival @ several Olympia venues I will present a quartet project "Levitation" which evolves and develops (in some ways) ideas we explored with "Wu Wei" in 2017/18. Also, I will present an eight-member all-improvising chamber ensemble, "Thought Leaders." September 3-15 -- Terrane Siberia Tour Terrane is Dennis Rea's quartet or quintet (depending on whether we have a throat singer aboard on a given day) that expands material that we did at Shapeshifter Lounge in Brooklyn last August.
