About Dino Pizzuto
Pianist, keyboardist and composer, Dino Pizzuto began his studies at the age of 11 at the Middle School Conservatory in Palermo. In 1984, together with some of his school mates, he founded PEANUTS, a new wave group that released plenty of new songs, among which one, called “STONEHENGE”, was included in a compilation published by CARAMELLA ARTISTS in 1985. In 1986 he played piano and keyboards in the album "Buela" by Massimo Melodia, taking care of the musical arrangements too. In addition, he also took part in the promotional tour to launch the album in the summer of 1986. At the same time, he started collaborating with various theatres and cultural associations, composing unreleased tracks to support theatrical pieces. It was around this time that the idea of putting all the compositions on a CD, a concept album or a concert with a story, came along. In 2001 he joined the Palermo Spiritual Ensemble, a group of which he continues to be a part of still today. Many of the group’s performances were broadcast on television, sometimes even nationally, like the 2007 Christmas concert on Rete 4. In the theatrical field, he has set to music "La favola del figlio cambiato" by L. Pirandello, among many others, and has also created several soundtracks for theatre musicals. His language is characterized by an accentuated melodic connotation that distinguishes his compositions. L'ULTIMO QUARTO DELLA NOTTE represents his first recording experience as a solo artist, composer and pianist.
