Karly Lopez
Bassist Drummer Guitarist Songwriter VocalistWhen Karly was five her mom put her in piano lessons. She learned classical music and it was the beginning of her love for a dark and heavy sound. Progressing quickly through a heavy practice routine, this brilliant child became bored. Finally at age 12 she convinced her mother to begin guitar lessons. Self taught and mostly by ear Karly was a natural. Karly has also grown up around some of the finest musicians in San Antonio, Texas. Her father is a well known and respected drumming legend, that has opened up for acts such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Fabulous Thunderbirds etc. Black Sabbath, Bob Marley and Frank Zappa are just some of what makes up Karly’s DNA. She began playing in bands at 14, picking up the Bass, Drums and revisiting the piano and received a BOS in Audio Production. She likes to shoot guns, is an avid stargazer and astrophotographer, enjoys spearfishing and can fix or create anything.

Although She became a BMI Original Songwriter 2014 , She has been reading, writing and performing sine the age of 4. She has remained a dedicated Songwriter, for 5 years. Vocalist & Live Performer for " DISTANT SUN RISING ", Classically Trained since the age of 4, began to sing with The UTSA Children’s Chamber Choir in the 3rd grade , singing 1st, 2nd Soprano as Well as Alto within the 6 years of Multi Language Classical Choir. 9th when She lettered 1st Chair 2nd Soprano in the State of Texas. Continue to Write original music, singing in her 1st rock band at 14, as well as singing in Texas Blues, Country and Americana until 18. Touring with a Rock and Blues band in the Summer, Miss Teen San Antonio, Texas , Winner the City wide talent show and raised money year round for the Nonprofit Community Centers . Also Attending college prep St.Mary and later Providence HS . Played Water Polo as well as equestrian riding competitions. She became Miss San Antonio 1991 performing for Thousands and raising money for City, State and Nation wide nonprofits. Performing for Clubs , Venues around Texas while in School She Always wrote Original.
