The Luxury provided two singles and videos (“Above Me” & “Luxury”), both of which received heavy play on music television in Japan, Canada, Australia, and Germany. The Luxury contained 3 songs written by Marcos Curiel ((expired link)) and Bekki, one of which (“What Goes Around”) was ranked as one of the top 10 hard rock/metal songs of the year by Burrn! Magazine’s editor in chief, Japan’s authority in hard rock & metal. The album was HMV Japans #1 pick & “Above Me” received heavy rotation airplay in several countries including being one the most played songs on Canadian radio stations such as Power 97 and Curve 94.3. “Above Me” and “What Goes Around” were placed in several TV shows and movies, including the popular teen drama and subsequent soundtrack release, Degrassi Takes Manhattan.

Domenica supported their debut album with endless touring throughout Europe, Australia, Japan, Canada, & the United States where they shared stages with many notable acts such as Stone Temple Pilots, Three Days Grace, Godsmack, Airborne, Papa Roach, Scorpions, Hail The Villain, Danko Jones, and other renowned bands. Front-person Bekki Friesen was featured in countless magazines, radio shows, and TV spots including being named one of the best female rock guitarists.

Domenica relocated to Los Angeles in 2011 and embarked on establishing themselves in the Hollywood & Sunset Strip rock scene. Bekki began production on their sophomore album titled “The Better In Us All” in 2012 with producer Brandon Friesen & famed engineer Bryan Carlstrom (Alice In Chains, The Offspring). In December 2012, Domenica tested a number of new unreleased songs to an enthusiastic hard rock audience at the Hard Rock Hell festival in England where they shared the stage with Buckcherry, Testament, and Ace Frehley. (expired link) commented on the show,

Ultimately, I cannot do the performance justice in mere words save to reiterate again that this was a highlight of the festival. The only truly appropriate way to iterate how good Domenica were would be if I could puke pure joy into your mouth from the excitement of finding such a fresh and new band.

Domenica featured the first video & single “Caught The Plague in August 2013, part 1 of a 2 part mini-movie filmed in downtown Los Angeles. They are presently setting up the release & tour schedule for 2014.

In addition, Bekki has lent her songwriting, guitar playing, and vocals to several LA-based projects including a feature on country rocker Billy Ray Cyrus’ album “Change My Mind”, which led to Bekki performing with him and his band on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno September 2012 in support of the release.
