DaPromiseChild- known as DPCMUSIK, started his journey @ age 4. He began to learn the piano, he took piano lessons from age 4 to age 8, after learning rnb, jazz,soft gospel, bluegrass. He bagan teaching himself how to play. From the sounds of Sam Cooke, James Brown, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, R Kelly, Mr. Biggs(Ron Isley), Pharell Williams, Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles, John Legend,Ne-Yo, Bruno Mars, and Gospel artists he started producing an ear for the sound of music,has influenced his mindset on delivering an outstanding Show performance and studio performance.DPCMusik started singing for his church at a young age, where he was able to become comfortable singing in front of large masses of crowds, he joined School band in the 6th grade where he then developed an ear for writing.... the artist kept songs to hisself till the age of 14 where he was giving a chance to show his skills, the artist moved on from playing to a Church to recording with the biggest powerhouse of music production down South! Ken P, CEO of TrunkBangaz. As they linked together sounds from melodies on the piano bacame hits for lovemaking and club banging. Antonio Woodruff, known on stage as 'DPCMusik', started his journey with music at age 4 with first piano lesson. By age 8 he was teaching himself to play ,R & b, jazz, gospel, and bluegrass. As a young artist, he fell in love with the sounds of James Brown, Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross, R Kelly, Ron Isley, Pharell Williams, and Stevie Wonder. Shy as a teenager, it wasn't until joining middle and high school band that Woodruff found he was comfortable performing in front of large crowds. He then moved to using his childhood musical training and band experience to write and compose his own original music. Raised in a religious family, Antonio soon began to play, sing, and direct music in church, leading praise teams and singing with musical groups across the country. By age 19 Antonio began producing some of his original music drawing on his love for the sounds of Ray Charles, John Legend,Neyo, Jamie Foxx, and Bruno Mars and various Gospel artists. His talent eventually led him to his original mentor producer, Ken P or TrunkBangaz where he continued to hone his craft.
Currently, as a producer, Antonio has collaborated with some of the most recognizable names in the industry. As an artist,DPCMusik has performed opening acts for H-Town,Calvin Richardson, Shawty Lo, Pretty Ricky, Noel Gourdin to name a few. As a writer, he has helped developed the careers of a wide range of artists ranging from hip hop, to gospel, and R & B.
In 2012 Woodruff extended his artistic reach to theater and television the television by writing, producing, and performing for various plays and television shows across the country. His latest project involved in "So Cold" is a production of both his musical and theatrical talents as he sings and stars in both the music video and stage play " The Other Woman". His unique ability to sing, writer, produce, and act has made Antonio a sought after artist and performer appearing in several national television shows, talk shows, and movies.
As a passionate writer, performer, and producer, Antonio continues to use his talent to create unforgettable music and experiences. When his not performing with his live band or collaborating with today's music influencers he is helping to cultivate the artistic talent and sound of new artist.
His ultimate vision is to one day open a performing arts school in his hometown for the purpose of teaching others how they too can use their passion to impact their world
