Song Reviews

Pretty alright.

Nice lyrics/voice. The midi piano sound/general mix needs some work. The first thing that bothers me is the piano track is overcompressed. The drum beat is redundant. I like the bass sound. Very new order. I would give it another shot recording this track. Perhaps with a live drummer and some nice synth patches.

Just Having Fun.

"A Rising Sun" is just having fun. A retro- 80's,let your hair down, dance hall tune. The lead singer is not stressing vocal acrobatics. He's just making his point with a simple melody. The track has an electric-acoustic feel that reaches out to fun times from earlier days. A fun song.

indiepop for musiclovers

surprise surprise this is a nice and sweet indiepop track, if you like the cure or joy division, this is your next band to listen to. letz go back in time or one step over the top, you decide what to do. september brings enough wind and mystical darkness for this music,

yes

A Rising Sun review. this song is a strictly Alternative piece in the highest sense of the word. everything sounds in Alternative style as I said everything recalls the Alternative genre. personally it is not my favorite genre but I can give you a musical judgment that is certainly positive because all that there must be in a Alternative piece in your piece is therefore complimented and continues. good job

Cool track

Interesting use of sounds. I like it. Good vocal and the energy is good. It is not really my genre, but it was a fresh change. It takes me back to my 90's clubbing days somewhat. There is a touch of nostalgia about it. I get that the idea is a 1980's vibe, but that is not where this takes me. More early 90's where a bit of 80's alternative still had a cult following. That is what this reminds me of ;) Keep it up

A Rising Sun

Interesting melodies and harmonies mixing emotions together in hopeful embrace. Chorus is searching for meaning which reflects emptiness in the observer. Seems to require a truth....perhaps a longing for what one knows not what for in these empty times we find ourselves in. Watching and longing for the rising sun for clarity of the light of truth to reveal why we are really here. One would wonder..what is truth in a world devoid of it. There are those who know....but would they be believed?

Great recording

You did a phenomenal, fantastic, extravagant job on this piece of music. Your song is a piece of art and I am confident that if you continue this type of work with the right amount of passion then you will go far in this business. If you don't mind my saying, I think you should reach out to some graphic designers, photographers, producers, editors, collaborators, labels and anything and everything else that has to do with the business because you have the talent to go far. You just need to get in touch with the right people.

Nice dark club vibe

The atmosphere of this song brings me back to the days of Ultravox, Joy Division, the “24-hour Party People” era. The singer reminds me of The Damned. There is also a cool Killers and Franz Ferdinand vibe to the vox. Not quite sure the drum and bass tracks are locking in as well as they could, but the since and programming atmosphere makes up for it.

great blend

Dreamlife's tune A Rising Sun is a good unique blend of melody and groove that makes a good catchy tune. the bass and the drums sets the pace and the keyboards do the rest. I give this track 4.1 out of 5.

Groovy!

I love this groovy sound! Kind of reminds me of The Smiths, or atleast that Era.Very awesome! I actually heard a lot of familiar sounds in this, I was jamming! Thanks for sharing and please keep it up! My constructive criticism would be to effort a little more on your lyrics. The vocals are so unique, with the right lyrics your voice would shine even brighter! Don't hesitate to test your limits, its always a learning experience when you leave your comfort zone. Cheers!

Unique music style

The song starts off with engaging sounds from the keys, which are playing the main role in this recording. In addition, dominant played melodic bass line make this recording complete. This crucial factor makes the song engaging for me. The chorus is impressive and the intro sounds like a story. The songwriter is talented to give an account in words about someone or something, including all the relevant characteristics, qualities, or events. The arrangement sounds definitely professional although of sparse instrumentation. I like the bleakly mood of the track. Very good mixed and overall perfect mastered. It´s a quintessence of indie music in alternative style although influenced from punk. Professionell orchestrated electro sounds in the backround carries the recording. Ambitious composition and really outstanding recording. This song could be a radio hit soon and I´m sure you will also like to add it. Let others know your recommedation.

80s feel

Liking this track. It reminds me of early 80s bands like joy division and the jam, very gritty bass lead sound coming from punk origins. Keep it up, will listen to some more of your tracks. Are you on soundcloud?

Tight pop re examination. Harpsichord type keyboards with synth pad and bass fusion. Drums kept simple and keeping thins together. Shades of Loyd Cole and the Commotions on vocals with a synth pop background. Bass builds into peter hook type bass line finish. Great neat little pop number
