I came across this nice piece of music today. "Through the Glass Darkly" does truly belong in the ambient genre, but also passing over to "modern jazz" in a small section of the song with some tones just to wake you up;) Further it´s technically very well played, but also with a very nice feel. It is recorded with a natural sound and is of course not the biggest challenge to mix with only one instrument played. Take a listen folks ! -Kris

when i heard the first notes i know directly that that piece of music would be pleased by me....the auhor is sweeping his keyboard piano but generally, he has been playing high and picking notes ...great emotions and great playing...thanks you for the share

When I heard "Through the Glass Darkly" it immediately reminded me of Michael Nyman and his famous soundtrack from the movie "The Piano" and near the final modulation influences of Bella Bartok. I love minimalism as it brings musical feeling to its most basic essence. Very good composition.I recomend it!

I love piano sound, especially when there are expert hands that make it vibrate. When you listen to the sound and harmony of this piece you feel good, at peace and for a few minutes you forget the problems of the world

Through the Glass Darkly is a nice piece of music to hear on the background. In my opinion it misses some sounds to accompany the piano, maybe some sort of strings or pads to make the result more complete. Anyway is a good ambient track. Congrats!

There is nothing more evocative than a solo piano, played well, and this track is no exception to that rule. Fred Cole has obviously learned his craft well, as this haunting piece is something I would happily listen to over and over again. It has prompted me to check out more of his work. It also inspires me to want to use more piano on my future compositions. Thoroughly enjoyable piece and happy to recommend.

This is Ambient music at it's best. This composition is expressing a concept and an idea of how we see with the eyes of the heart. I enjoy listening because it has all the hallmarks of notes that are high an not low to bring the spirit into a place of restful confidence and peace. All the good notes as they say in some circles who compose music. I can see you have excellent fingerwork and a feel for your instrument, like it is a part of you. I wondered if you played this off the cuff? Great expectations is what this says to me for hope and blessed assurances of restorations in the offings of new beginnings.

"Through the glass darkly" is an instrumental piano track. It starts with very soft piano arpeggios and progresses slowly with some added notes, chord variations, then melodies mix together. The song alternate some very light parts and deeper ones with a minimalist arrangement, perfect for this kind of music. I think it's a very good track for relaxing, dreaming, meditating.

I must say ..This is not Your Best Composition It has to many repeating moments..If You make It shorter app 2 min is possible that will sound better but is not important what I'm thinking..I think that People will say There is no Heart Inside and Music Insider will not be Impress..I Think that The Theme is good and if You will make a Nice Impro of It ..will sound much better.I wish You good luck with Submissions but remember that THEY will listen Only best Work...

Hello Dr! Nice piece of piano. It's easy to listen. I like the parts when you start the first time to play in the bottom of the piano. The harmony change and the tune start to sing something to me. I always feel a travel to an other place with your music. This is really cool! The sound is good, simple. Not verry loud but ok, it's just about mastering. I will continue to listen your music, it's always a pleasure!

Haunting piano melodies start off this ambient composition that sounds much like a soundtrack to a mystery thriller. As the song progresses, a newly introduced discordant melody indicates that a dark, off-color element has entered the otherwise idyllic scene, a sort of disruptor. New chords are introduced in the last third of track along with a robust conclusion and resolution. The mix is even and the arrangement keeps the interest of the listener throughout.
