Salut Duceman...this song was a treasure from beginning to end. It has a kind of a classic RnB / Old School charm. There were moments when I thought it might fade, but it stayed true to form. I listened to this track about three times to get a feel for song. I listened to the music and tried to get a steppers feel for where you were trying to go, salsa, Chicago style or just the Texas swing out, but I'm sure they all will find the count to get started. As far as a radio station playing it is about 50/50. The music kinda gave me that old Casio keyboard feel, really don't know if that is bad or good. I'm really on the fence with this track, you make good music and this is not bad at all, lyrics were ok as well, the background/ hook could have been somewhat broken up a little more.. I'll just say this is going to be a cd filler and we all have one. So if you have 9 songs and you need one more to make 10 , well here it is. Nice soulful sound and good singing voice. The production works but could be better if you want mass appeal. The right engineer could liven up this song as well. Beautiful song man absolutely beautiful! It's nice to see you and "Fayettenam" having stop fighting for good music and good people. Usually when I do these reviews heavily critique the track. But the only critique I could give on this is I wish that that bass line was just a little more pronounced, you know the same volume as that keyboard. Technically sound recording. Lyrically absolutely beautiful, melodically extremely intelligent. Once again Duceman doing his doggone thing

I am definitely a charter member of the Duceman Appreciation Society. I love this tune. The changes are inviting, a nice melody and I love the backing harmonies, which kinda remind me of "Strange" by Cameo. This key definitely showcases the lead vocals, which are well performed and supported. What kills an otherwise great tune is the drum machine. I know, I know, I complain about the drum machine in almost every Duceman song. I guess it's because he is a performer and composer who has such rich and organic tunes and style and drum machine is like ketchup on a fine porterhouse steak... an insult to greatness. Some good acoustic/live drums (or an Alesis SR-16 with some good processing) and percussion (and more bass) would really take his work over the top.
