Dear listeners, I am currently on an airplane heading from Toronto to Vancouver, cant wait to see everyone. I will be catching up and working with Tim Steinruck (The mighty one), also I will be meeting Mark Rosner (President of Big Records) for the first time in person. We have spoken countless times over the internet but never in person. I will be staying on Pender Island for a couple of days. I am hoping to work with Sarah Smith in the studio so we can finish up the song we wrote together in April. I am so grateful to Sarah for her help and support. I am also looking forward to the quiet and peacefulness. Reflection and grounding are necessary. We are just waiting on word from Sony/Orchard confirming a release date for our newest single Dangerous. Both Tim Steinruck and I are waiting patiently. We will be shooting a video for Dangerous!! Dangerous was written by Tim Steinruck specifically for me to sing on. It was recorded at Begin Street Studios in Coquitlam, BC in Canada. I am very excited to be a part of something so big! I have teamed up with Shaine Derrick and Tim Pitman in the UK. Tim is an amazing musician and producer. Shaine sounds absolutely legendary on the guitar. We have completed a new song “Room 503”. Tim did an absolute marvellous job of mixing and producing. I hope to have the pleasure of working with them for a long time to come. I met Shaine on a flight from Schipol airport to Johannesburg in South Africa in 2010. It was New Year’s Eve so everything at the airport was closed and our next flight to Cape Town was at 6am. We found the only place still open, a small coffee shop. We sat and chatted all night. When I met my sister in South Africa for the first time Shaine had taken a picture of us as we met. I had no idea he had taken the picture and I was very surprised to find the picture in my inbox. Shaine is thoughtful in that way. Here we are over a decade later and working together. Isn’t life interesting? A few weeks ago I was approached by Bentley Records saying that they would love to have me back. Needless to say I now belong to Big Records and Bentley records. Still trying to sort out which songs to release through Big Records/Sony/Orchard and which ones to release through Bentley. We will be touring with RiseUp TV in 2024.
