The melody of the singing is nice, both for the verses and the chorus. I like especially the impress of hearing an old punk song. You have to adjust your balances : the guitars sound repressed , especially during the bridge. The cymbals sound very weird all along the song: too much loud and almost always out of time (early or late I can not be sure ). In my opinion It misses variations : the verses are long and constant, always the same. Some drum or guitar riffs sound have ben welcomed. This le only my lowly opinion, I home it Will help!

I like the direction of the music...heavy, somewhat progressive. History, true history, not the indoctrination we were all taught, disagrees with your lyrics, but i get your intent. Do yourself a favor and read into the life of, John Casor, a black man who was legally recognized as the first person to be declared a lifelong slave, in the USA, under his owner Anthony Johnson, a black man from Angola, Africa...that happened in 1655...beyond that, the first slaves, real slaves in new America, meaning the colonies, were Irish, stolen, by the Barbary pirates...not black. Not to mention, all the scores of Europeans who were stolen and brought here as slaves...Many of the blacks who were brought here, pre-1600, were sent by their own families as indentured servants, not slaves. They were hired by Spain, China, Britain...not, " America " But anyway, this song is decent. Catchy, good hooks. I gave you 5 stars for the music, and the theme of the content.

Well I have to start by saying that I enjoy the upbeat tempo of this song. The words obviously have some deep meaning as is the story of the song which is very important. Now to get to the review ....the mix is a little on the introduced side making it a little difficult to distinguish between some of the elements. I'm not sure if you produced this yourself but if I can give any advice try to squash the vocals in with a touch of compression will go along way. All in all a decent song that just needs a bit of a production boost...good job thanks for sharing.

The song 'African American' is a bit lengthy. Therefore, the two main melodic-rhythmic motives, both are long monotonous layers especially the one that starts at the intro. It seems in a few sections the singer is struggling to sing in a specific pitch register and out of sync with the main rhythmic pattern as at 01:58 to 02:03 and similar fragments. Perhaps because of lack of rehearsals ;) -- The riff and the solo part as well as the melodic portions could potentially make a 3 minutes tune for the market with 4 stars rating at least.

About your song African American i think it is tops greate music greate lyrics and greate singing i think it is a perfect song i think it has the ability to reach number 1 but so has alot of other artist and there songs i think you should follow your dream where-ver the lord may lead it GOD BLESS you your family freinds and everyone also some people do not know that slavery did not just exsisted in America there were many parts of the world even in my birth country greece it was most common that the rich would lie to the poor peoples family that they wanted there young for work and they pay them greate and treat them well, well they lied to my family and my mother was taken away instead of greate work they made her a slave treating her in a unhuman way my father found her and took her and married her she was not paid the money they promised but she was freed because of dad yes i am olive skined so is mum and dad i was never in slavery but my mum was from 8 years old to the time she married she told me stories that because i feel about my mum brings me to tears and brakes my heart in what they done to her so through mum i know about slavery today beleive it or not in some parts of the world it still exsist eligually trading the young not sure legually but it has to stop i do not know what to do and would help if i knew the what to do other then praying JESUS CHRIST will free these people who most are young children pray with me take care and let the African American know that i am with them in prayer i thought i give you top rating for such a greate song.

Very good song. I like this song and it's message. It is hard hitting and really has words to explain the History of the African American. I like it because even though I'm a white man I have been through some experiences with white people that are much the same. Being looked down upon for my faith in Jesus.
