Eddie Lee and the kynd brothers

Tommy Shaw of Styx lived in my home town boonies and was and is so very cool. I was fortunate to meet Tommy during guitar sessions numerous times and know his ex-wife well. And she was kind enough to give me his slide. I never get tired of the Tommy/JY tunes and never will. If I could find brother Scott Whitherspoon it would fill the circle. Same time period I partied with the ROCKETS (OH WELL)...

So one Saturday I visit a friend who lives near a park/festival gathering. We burn one and I hear the tunes. I said to Bunkle. who's playing. He said umphreys Mcgee. We grew up blocks from Jake Sinenger and know his dad. Anyways our buddy Pete is there with his model T hot rod. I mean it looked like the Munsters mobile except it was metal flake blue. I tell Pete lets do it. So we cruise around the block to the show and drive up. There are like 5 St joe county cops on the way to the stage but we were styling and I (always well dressed ;) ) kept saying were headed backstage and they kept waving me on.

So we get back to the semis and the cops flock around the car kegs and we make small talk then say we gotta see the manager. We walk in and kegs o beer a huge buffet and 50 super hot honeys jammin to the show.. So we mosey backstage and I shout Stage Manager. Nice guy cruises over and I said . Do you want some dough for the spread . He said no worries . enjoy. So we proceeded to eat drink and get stoned :) - and with a herd of beautiful girls and had a beautiful night. I didn't even say hi to Jake. Thanks Umphrys Mcgee. Your OK in my book ;)

When I was 15 yrs old. Me and my buddy's went to every concert that came to town. It was Molly Hatchet and Angel at the Morris. Molly Hatchet kicked ass with Danny Joe Brown and crew. We always each bought an oz and rolled 30. Concert starts and we start passing hooters. I turn around and there is the whole band. I say , you guy;s wanna puff. They said sure. And we proceeded to consume a quarter pound in 1 1/2 hours. Angel was ...so so. but partying with Molly Hatchet was legendary at the time.

I wanted to take time to give a sincere heartfelt thanks to all the support i have received thanks to number one music and the fantastic base of music lovers. I also want to thank all the people that took the time to send me a personal message, which has me jazzed to go abroad and share some of my music as some beloved cover songs because I am as much a fan of great entertainers as you all are. And have a hell of a good party time while were at it. In this first month with number one music. I received more response than other (expired link). sites Has done in six months. So my hat's off to Number1music.

Keep those personal messages coming. I so appreciate it and hopefully a Euro Label will feel like you super great new friends and I can come your way and give you a great show for a fair price. I like to go to shows almost as much as playing them and I believe live music should be accessible to every one. It's doable for all the big acts sadly greed is a big part of the music business. A few years back I was at a blues festival with my daughter Ka'lee and that night Tony Bennett was Playing in South Bend Indiana (15 minutes from my house). So my friends took my daughter home that night and I changed into a suit and tie in the parking lot and went to see Tony Who I had seen and met (hugged) twice before. I get to the ticket booth and the cheapest ticket was 50 dollars I start digging through my pockets and had like 48.57. :( The show getting ready to start and the scalpers wouldn't give me a break.

I had one of my flyers for another show and slapped it down at the ticket office and said I'm Eddie Lee and I'll be back. So I drive like a maniac to a friends house and borrowed 20 bucks drove like a madman back. I walk in the office and the stage manager is standing there. He say's your Eddie Lee right. I said damn straight I am. He say's I have something for you. He pulls out a fourth row ticket and say's this ones on Tony. Now that is a class act! A gave him the big thanks and another hug after the show and it was one of the nicest things a big performer ever did for me. I'll never forget it. And hope to pay it forward with my new friends from abroad. So you all take care, keep the messages coming and help those folks in need that you can. We are all a global family.
