Although I play traditional Celtic music I have Many influences, ranging from Trad Scottish/Irish, Johnny Cash, Rock n Roll, Punk (70's,80s), Psychobilly, 70's/80's alternative. I grew up listening to Scottish/Irish music, Johnny Cash and rock n roll (basically my dads record collection). When I was about 9 years old (1982) I got into Punk/Alternative music thanks to my cousin, John Peel Radio show and the great rock n roll swindle on Beta Max release.
Most of the recordings here are solo double tracked,and will be otherwise stated. I play all instruments (guitar,whistles,flute,fiddle,mandolin,bodhran) .Occasionally I record with Alasdair Mackay (fiddle,guitar,bozouki)

Been playing solo in bands for over 20 years now. Currently Solo as working life has taken over. I Used to be in bands:- Indigenous Citizens, Shakeagh Nhaill with Kenny (schiehallion) and Beggars Row with Alasdair Mackay and Bob Ferguson (Bob kept the name Beggars Row after the departure of Alasdair and I. Check them out on Reverbnation). Just play the odd session now and again but hope to get back into music scene again soon.
