So, I let my N1M Subscription expire, which means I can't post the new track (Max limit of 3 on a free account), and unfortunately it's not in the budget at the moment. HOWEVER! I am uploading it (FREE TO ALLl) on my Patreon ((expired link)) . Thought it would be fun to show my recording process. So the primary draft is uploaded, which it will change a ton through my process, but I hope y'all enjoy the new vibe.

Tomorrow, October 29th, as a birthday present my family pitched to get me into a professional recording studio! I will be getting custom drum tracks so that I can record higher quality music and hopefully in the next few weeks I'll have some rough drafts uploaded!!

Through the chaos

Hey you wonderful people!

I just hit 300 subscribers and I want to say thank you to all!!

The last few weeks have been chaotic, I'm ashamed to admit I haven't touched my guitar at all. As of August 1, we have to move and the job I'm currently working is leaving much to be desired in way of finances.

I have been busy trying to lineup a new house to rent, and better employment which is why I have been neglecting my music. I will try and get back to it ASAP.

So in light of still needing a new microphone, I'm still working on music fairly heavily, however I've decided to reboot my YouTube and podcast channel.

Hey folks! Happy New Year! May 2021 bring you uncountable blessings!

I am swallowing my pride; and I'm going to reach out to my "audience" (You amazing individuals!). I have made a patreon account ((expired link)). I'm not one to ever ask for financial assistance, however, I'm in a situation where making sure my family has a roof over their heads, and food on the table is my only concern, and replacing/upgrading equipment is secondary at best.

I would like to get a new microphone, as the one I'm currently using, has terrible quality; To the point in which, I cannot use it without post-processing FX, to increase gain. Which I personally dislike, as I aim for my music to convey the emotions of each song without distortion. Other things on my wish-list, is a Bass Guitar, and a new electric guitar, as my high-end Ibanez was stolen a couple years ago, so I'm currently using a cheap Epiphone. (If anyone has a decent mic they're willing to part with, let me know!)

Unless my personal business takes off this spring, I'm currently stuck at a job that pays about 60% of my monthly expenses (yes, a 40% deficit), I tried opening an online merch shop with spreadshirt, however apparently no one likes the Fawx logo as much as I do :P

Regardless; those of you that subscribe to me here, have been a huge inspiration for me to focus on my true passion in life: music. If you're able to subscribe on Patreon, that would be awesome, if you're not, that's cool too! Just know that I totally understand. 2020 Screwed over a ton of people (myself included), and by the looks 2021 isn't shaping up to be much better, I will keep being positive, and pray that this year is amazing anyway.

I'm currently trying to record a new song; 'Stranger in the Mirror', however, I want to have clean vocals, but that will have to wait until I can afford a decent microphone as my current mic is a $20 one from a discount store, that was purchased in the early 2000's.

So every time I try and launch my recording software and hardware my computer gets a blue screen of death, I think my computer has reached near the end of its life. It's almost a decade old, and being a power user, and multiple upgrades, I cannot find a solution to this issue.

So for the foreseeable future I will not be recording unless I can acquire the finances to afford to either a . Upgrade and or replace my hardware or b. Afford to actually start recording in a professional studio.

I know it's asking a lot but if anyone is able to go to my patreon and help out that would be cool, I didn't realize until recently that my hardware was so outdated I couldn't record anymore, I was originally creating a patreon site to hopefully afford to acquire a bass guitar, but as it stands I'm in a stalemate.

I have songs that I want to record for both albums, dystopian future and inner demons, but unfortunately I'm at a point in my life where I have to focus on my family, and my hobbies and passions are taking a backseat

I did want to formalize both albums when I hit about 10 to 12 songs, and try and get them professionally mastered so that they sound as good for you as they do for me when I'm listening to them on my setup, but unless something changes it's a long way off.

I eat sleep and breathe music, and it is something that I would like to continue making but without some form of advertising, sharing, or any way to monetize what I'm doing I think I'm hitting a wall. Just owing to the fact that my priorities in life are my kids.

I will continue to find a workaround but as it stands currently I'm up schitt's creek without a paddle.

I haven't been recording lately, life is getting in the way (trying to find work etc...), however hopefully I'll be able to get some new things together soon!

Hey folks, so I'm currently taking an online course; trying to increase the job pool in which I can swim! I am working on new songs and applying lyrics to the ones I've already uploaded!

I also looked in to Patreon, and have made a Patreon page, patreon(dot)com/fawx, really neat way of crowd-funding/support. Asking you all to check it out and provide me with some feedback/constructive criticism!

I've been recently working on properly equalizing my current songs, as I've noticed when changing sound environments (Good headphones vs sound-system vs vehicle speakers vs phone speaker) there is serious changes (not always good changes) to the sound quality and equalization. I AM working on this, however it's a skill I have never developed, and hiring a professional is currently out of the question.
