Durango, Colorado’s own Elder Grown combines the power of Community with the sweetly exciting genres of Funk, Rock, Reggae and Hip Hop. This band, founded by Three Brothers and named in honor of their Goddess Grandmother, draws from a cohesive power unique to Love and Family in order to weave a Harmony of varying styles and sounds into a Can’t Miss, Amicable musical experience. In the midst of the live changing and trading of instruments, supporters will witness a song change genres with the evolving verse. Watch as Rock relaxes into Reggae, and Saxophone bridges Latin into Hip Hop. As all members of the group are Vocalists, ears enjoy journeying vocal melodies as Lyric and Spoken Word tell tales of Human Experience.
Community defines Elder Grown. As the Family grew with the addition of Friends, a fantastic 8 piece group was Born. Further, the Community grows as allied Supporters and Teammates add their own energy and power to the Experience. This was seen best when Supporters and Teammates voted Elder Grown into the Number 1 slot of the Rock the Vote competition, providing Elder Grown with their Unique and Blessed opportunity to play the main stage of Arise!
