A Portal to the Presence

This man sings from his spirit. You can feel the sincerity and devotion to God in his voice. I truly enjoy the songs I’ve heard and find myself going deeper into worship as I close my eyes and listen. There’s a peace, a tranquility, and contemplative nature to this man’s music. I love listening to artists who put themselves into the songs they sing…you can definitely get a sense of this man’s heart as you listen. I found this song to be a perfect companion as I spend time in the secret place with my God. This song is a portal to the presence! I encourage anyone seeking music that will inspire them to go deeper with God to take the time to listen to Rev. Horsey’s music!

Production

Hello Reverend. I think this is a fine song. I’m distracted by the production. The main thing is the reverb! It is so dominating. The golden rule is to dial it in to where it’s noticeable, and then pull it back a notch. One good trick is to have everything go through the same reverb to make it sound like you’re all in the same room. To add dimension, have more reverb on some tracks and less on others. The more you have, the further away it sounds and vice versa. Juggle it until you’ve got the lead vocals the center of everything, surrounded by the accompaniment. Also, a little pitch correction, and I always need this as well for my performances, has become standard in today’s audience’s expectations. God bless you and your Ministry! Bob

Dated

If I was making a movie about the early 90,s and I had a church scene I would pull this sound in and pay u…..sound a bit holidayish as well due to how the keys and instruments are played…feeling like turtle necks and Cordero’s

Wonderfully relaxed

I always like interesting introductions and this one is great. I was immediately imagining being on the beach walking along enjoying the beauty of creation giving thanks and the vocal started fitting perfectly into my thoughts with words of thanksgiving. The production and mix is terrific, with nothing rushed or jarring giving a rich mellow texture to the sound, with well rounded harmonic backing vocals. A great song that made my day a little brighter. Thank you. Cheers Peter

GREAT VOCALS

A very good evening to you and thank you kindly for the invite to review your track "OH JESUS I LOVE YOU PT 2 VOCAL" which may i say that i found in my personal music opinion to be a very strong Gospel song with outstanding vocals and harmonies and was produced and recorded to a very professional standard and would be a very radio friendly song that would attract a great deal of interest for Christian radio stations for possible air play that would enhance your download sales.

Not my style of music

interesting intro..love the birds singing. harmony is clear and matches the lead singers tones nicely. A little short on words, a bit too much repeating for my taste. The music is very soft and restful, voice is good quality.

my thoughts

First, thanks for sharing. I love the intro. It reminds me of a song from the sixties. I can't think of the title, but familiar for sure. And that's ok. The band is obviously talented and has time in the studio. Now what I don't hear are the vocals. From the very start of the song, I was straining to hear what you were saying then singing. Bring your vocals out front in the mix. Without the song as artists, we don't have anything. And the song consists of the lyrics.

Loving Jesus

Definitely from era of genre the artist was raised n great idea. The intro is too long n keeps listeners waiting for the beginning. You should always establish a melody at start of song. Good idea of loving Jesus though. Keep loving Him.

Oh, Jesus I love you

This is more like a private worship song from you to the Lord. For radio airplay I think it needs more content and structure like verse chorus verse. Also the musical intro was too long. God bless you for your efforts. Keep trying. Your songwriting can get better.

Old school vibe to worship

This cut has an old school vibe that makes it easy to join Rev. Horsey in worship. Very melodic and simple, not overbearing. I'm looking forward to finding more of his music to explore. Give it a listen!!

Comfort & Joy

it is a pleasure to review this song ; Oh Jesus I Love You. As a song of praise and worship, I found it to be almost meditative. The statement made in the intro, against the ocean waves and sea gulls, really clarified the struggle that we all have in this world. It lends itself nicely to a host of problems that we all face on a daily basis.I As I listened, the beautiful flow of the music made me now my head in prayer and song along. Oh Jesus I Love You is a song of comfort and heartfelt joy. All ages will appreciate this song. A couple ideas that you could consider would be: 1. Expand on the lyric; add additional words to the message that focus on the joy and security that loving Jesus brings. 2. Add a segment of a Capella vocals and then finish with a build to the end. All in all, this is a praise and worship song that I would like to hear on a daily basis. It brings me comfort and joy. Thank you!

Loved this song

The music had great sounds and tones that really grabbed my attention. Songwriting and vocals were on point and brought as much to the song as the music did. Very well made and I really did enjoy it a lot. Just wanted to give you a little feedback didn’t have anything negative to say about it at all. Thanks for your time

Update

Excellent concept, this is a song that just needs to be updated It needs a strong beat (bass line) and stronger chord structure. Vocals should be redone with better harmony. Good work. I'd love to hear the updated version.
