They are cultural figures that are the voice of their time and transcend history. One such icon is the great Brazilian soccer player, Socrates - an athlete who with his commitment, on and off the field, has been able to overthrow a dictatorship. 

EL V and his band GardenHouse, inspired by Socrate’s extraordinary life, pays tribute to his story in their new single, El Doctor. The single is the first track to be released from the album, MAÑANA SERÁ TARDE. The album is expected to drop on May 5th 2017 and contains 12 songs of "Mestizo Music” - a mixture of Reggae, Ska, Soul and World Music - with the participation of many international guests, including the singer Sergent Garcia. El Doctor begins with the anthem of his team the “Corinthians," who, thanks to Socrates and a bunch of bold players, later became "Democracia Corinthiana,” a team in which every person has the same value and every opinion the same weight. For that reason, this soccer club is by no means typical and succeeded in transforming the concept of a club, not just by winning games, but by highlighting true sportsmanship and acknowledging that the people - and not the money - are the central part of any social activity. Their example will deeply touch the people of Brazil who lived back then under the very rigid political reality. Socrates’ story is legend and his sport was the language he shares with the people. However, his athletic profession is only one side of him. An accompanying video documentary for El Doctor, recounts the many other achievements of this tall and small footed champion from San Paulo. Sócrates was well-educated - having earned a degree in medicine, was an exceptional public speaker and was an intellectual artist, who himself recorded two albums. He lived to the fullest but always enjoyed a relaxed moment, savoring a nice glass of wine. New album EL V and THE GARDENHOUSE MAÑANA SERÀ TARDE The new album from El V and the GardenHouse – the historical group from Bologna – firmly express the feelings of the present situations. New songs that tell the concerns of a group of musicians who played together for almost 30 years and has no intention whatsoever of giving up. "Tomorrow will be too late," says EL V in its mixture of ingredients not only sonorous but also cultural, linguistic and social. “It is today that we must make a difference! It is today that we have the need and the urgency to take action to regain control of this drifting world! In times where the culture of the Walls and division is taking over, the music will save us! Just music as the common language, facing everything with a smile, soaking the energy of sharing, the joy to land a hand to those who could not make it, represents the "camino de la vida" that you will find in these songs. The 12 tracks included in MAÑANA SERÀ TARDE send a deep desire of union, solidarity and aggregation. The stories told in some of these songs, such as "El Doctor" or "Tamarita", highlight the amazing life of some characters that have made a change in History. Unknown events of ordinary people that with the way they lead their life will become extraordinary representing a source of inspiration In songs like "Amore Angelito", "I and I" and "Somos de aquí, somo de allá", EL V expresses how necessary a deep reflection about our future would be, to share with others and within ourselves. This new work is sang in 4 languages and as usual in the perfect style of El V, various idioms find a place in the same song. This album is a miscellaneous of reggae hybrid, flashes of Soul and Latin, mixed together in an international sound that is however very italian. Numerous guests participating in the project, among them SERGENT GARCIA, already alongside EL V in many Italian concerts. He reinterprets his hit "Camino de la vida" in the new GardenHouse version.
