If you are a lifestyle-r, or you live in the heart of the city, the 2018 Show is a great way to spend a day in the country and see what’s happening in rural New Zealand. There will be vendors that supply the knowledge and equipment you need to take care of your property. The kids can get up close to the animals and learn what the judges look for in a grand champion. There will be tractors to take you from the free car park to the show.
The WWII Historical Re-enactment Society of New Zealand will put on a live fire demonstration, and weather permitting, a mock battle. Just to add a bit of energy, the Auckland Regional Drum Line will perform at the opening ceremonies, followed by musical entertainment on the main stage. This year the Groovediggers will put on their usual great performance. There will be highlights from New Zealand’s top Doobie Brothers tribute show – so come along and ‘Listen to the Music’.
In case all the side shows, face-painting, pony and Clydesdale cart rides, traditional handicraft displays, trade stalls galore, yummy food and the Junior Farmer Competition aren't enough, then don't forget the Dayle ITM North Harbour Axemen woodchopping competition.
