Helpful

Great beat...can't help but dance. Found myself dancing to this one. The chorus sticks with you and the lyrics work well. Nice vocals and the instrumentals are tight and really well mixed. My only complaint if you can call it that would be I would like to have heard something that breaks up the song around the 2/3 point, maybe a small just beat or a short bridge. This would make the chorus stand out even more. Good song and good luck with it.

I need an Insulin shot

A very good hook and very dance friendly with a great beat. The lead vocals were good but I didn't get a true reggae sound from this young lady's voice but a good singer never the less. I'm a folk singer it's all about lyrics for me. I understand that this is more of a club song to dance to and I get that. Usually I'd slam a song like this because my main focus is the lyrics and believe everything else should support them but there is a time and place to just have repetitive lyrics like this that are just light and bright and fun. I do feel like I've been to a candy shop and now need to go on a diet. All in all good job~

CANDY SHOP

This song is very catchy you can groove to it, I like it. One other things with this song the artist is flowing beautiful with the rhythm and that a big plus for me, is not every day you came across a song like this so I give it four star.'

The Genre

I listened the track and it sounds like a calipso track. I see it listed as Reggae however the rhythm alone solidifies that it is not reggae. The beat is not the only thing that makes it calypso all the instruments that are very pronounced, like the type of drum and the use of the trumpet. Your vocals solid though, its just not reggae.

Candy Shop Review

I actually really like this composition even more then the last. it is more original and the vocal is very good. As far as I am concerned this is ready for radio. The message fits the vibe. Love the steel drum. I have no issues with this track. In my last review I felt the vocal was relaxed, which did not bother me. But this song shows the vocal as it should be. It has more vibration and energy. It's a great vocal. I think it would be great for Bubbles to step outside the box, if only for kicks. Increasing originality can only help in all art. I think she is very good i must admit, and it's refreshing to hear a REAL woman singing reggae, and not some wannabe poser with no culture. That is why I choose to review her. I think she should consider sections in a song where she might experiment with some alternative vocals i.e. Althia and Donna used to make some weird sounds that were very effective. I look forward to hearing more. Blessed Love.

I'm agreeing with the lyrics, "I'm not a candy shop" enjoying the flow of the music"dance hall style" good delivery. A fun song for the dance floor. Keep pushing the potential is there for a hit. Big up

Candy Shop Review

I really enjoyed listening to this song, i can totally see it booming at the Caribbean spots around here in Brooklyn and worldwide. The Harmony of the Steel Pans, Accordion, interplay between horns and Bass was all really well produced and the Singer keeps me interested with every word of her story. I would love to hear more Bubbles in the future. I imagine the waves coming in at high tide when i hear this song although it does seem to have an Urban flavor as well..

Latin Pop in English, not Reggae

Latin Pop with a feel good vibe set to the steel drum set of "el manisero" ,The Peanut Vendor". I like the tune because Bubbles has got a good voice and the music is happy and moving. I wish her and other artists would give proper credit though when sampling other artists work. I don't have a problem with sampling, just the lack of the covering artist not giving proper credit. As far as the production goes, it's pretty good. No complaints. Short and sweet and Caribbean. Not Reggae as listed above. Good Karioke job!
