About Erika

Erika was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. Performing since a child and now a seasoned artist. She trained in many vocal styles ranging from R&B, Pop, Jazz, Funk and Neo Soul. She began her career in 1990 Touring with MCK and The Surfettes as a Singer and Dancer, starting her career with the charting of the hit single "Life's A Beach", in Florida, California, and Hawaii.

This dynamic artist later moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she founded the four female R&B group X'ce'l, (later becomingYlation). Throughout her years with this group, the group opened up for National artist such as Coolio, 112, Allure, Westside Connection, LL Cool J, DJ Rob Base and MC Shy D.

In 1999, she broke the charts with her group X'cel with their hit single " Baby Come Over" charting in the Netherlands and (expired link) with her group "Ylaton". They decided to take on the live band music scene, playing at various popular local lounges and concerts in the Phoenix, Arizona area. Also perofrming in special events like the Christmas Benefit for the Phoenix Cardinals.

The talent doesn't stop there!

In 2003, she hosted and developed the First Soul Poetry Tour which featured poets from Phoenix, Arizona and (expired link) Missouri. In the years to followed, she continued to pursue other music opportunities, now on her own as a solo artist, started with a new band and continued to play out in the live music band scene.

In 2011 Erika signed as an original music artist marketing and distribution deal, with Tate Music Group.

Now in 2014, Releasing her First EP, "Southwest Romance" with Tate Music Group. This artist is an original with sensitive lyrics, treating each song with the attention and soul as if it is a personal relationship. Erika Proctor, is a "MUST SEE" artist and talented performer, who is still holding strong, and capable of "Rockin" a crowd.
