This is great soundtrack music.It sets mood and holds to it without being monotonous. Right off the bat I’d knew this would be another great piece from a fantastic composer. I was intrigued by the title thinking it would have some horror type feeling to it which in fact was true. The piece could fit remarkably in a film with a sci fi dark haunting story. The piece grew with eager anticipation from bar to bar as the suspense equally grew. I always find myself pleasantly surprised by all the dynamic changes and musical nuances in tact. I would love to hear this in the background of one of these types of movies picture genres. Erik knows all the principals and has the ability to touch the lives of many with his talent and will take his music to profound heights! I look forward to listening to more of Erik’s compositions in the near future! Great stuff as always!!! This is great soundtrack music.It sets mood and holds to it without being monotonous.Starting with a mostly Classical sound design,it is joined(gently) by an EDM beat track,that sets off the slow-burn effect.There are even key-changes and some mallet flourishes adding tension.The background vocals are truly haunting,and atmospheric,very 1800s.Ending simply,like the intro,a journey is completed.Get your epic noir on!!

I would not be surprised to find this piece as a soundtrack to a film. you are very close to my way of understanding music and all your compositions that I felt this is definitely the best.

Reminiscent of Marco Beltrami's work. Minimalist ideas that explore out of key possibilities seem to be on the rise. Mortensen has discovered another possibility and has developed a great expression of it. Even though the main cyclical theme goes outside the norms of regular chord progressions, he has woven it into a wonderful piece. The "lifts" come at a crucial time to avoid overt repetition. Overall, a beautifully, haunting piece appropriate to the name and genre. I would love to see this used in a movie.
