A timeless lil' piece of music, neither modern nor innovative, but it's got everything that good music needs. Well played instruments, understanadable vocals, nice choirs. All I am missing is a female harmony voice that could even add a bit of freshness to the choirs, but that's just my personal taste. Great that this kind of music is still made these days. Not a bad tune, very catchy, but I would prefer a Female Vocalist singing the lead with a good backing or unison harmony. I like the various instrument arrangement, that keeps my interest in the song, especially the Banjo and Steel Guitar. Good Hook on the Bridge, but a Good Female Vocal would really make the song! The song begins with a great banjo and continues with a good, strong, perfectly tuned voice. The lyrics are very well written and interesting. The tempo, harmony and melody are at the right point. I listened to the song 4 times in a row because I do not comment on any song, I need to like and be able to identify the positive and negative aspects that in my opinion may exist in a composition. The melody begins in the style of a transverse wave, which is not tiring as I identified several variations during the song, including a kind of contrasting section. The chorus is catchy and well built. It is difficult to find clearly negative aspects, I would say only about midway through the song, there is a time when there seems to be a preparation for the chorus entry; However, a less successful instrumental part emerges. All in all, my review is largely favorable. Great job, congratulations Erik. The instruments blending together in this tune are truly great...not to mention the vocals, and the harmonies. really enjoyed it so much strong voice. I like the banjo intro. The harmonies are great.

Nice song and great lyrics. This song is relevant to everyone because love does take a little time. You have a bluegrassy thing going on in spots and I like it. Well done and I enjoyed listening to this song.

This song has a great tempo and and melody that is very catchy to the listener. It also has that 60's throwback sound to it but in today's rhythem to give your theme a great sound. I also, like how you referenced your parents take on love. The older couples sure did know how to make relationships work and last. Very good, up tempo tune that has a positive vibe.

This type of sound reminds me of the sounds of the 60s but with a bit of a modern twist. It has that country yet swing jazz feel at the same time with a hint of soul. The instruments accompany the lyrics and the vocals perfects. Such a beautiful sound. It all fits like a puzzle. I’m always on the hunt for sounds like this and I think I have found my calling. a nice song with great plucking banjo and even bass and a really nice vocal and back up with great harmony love the pick up of the fiddle a really good song I really enjoyed it and will be listening for more great songs Erik . Just when a person thinks that you will be going down to a note, you go up. lol You have a very nice mellow, but strong voice. I like the banjo intro. The harmonies are great. Is that you? ;) Your lead guitar, which is well played, might be just be a little over-active through-out the verses; maybe consider more of a calmer chorded progression through the verses, with maybe some softer fills at the end of your vocal phrases.
