Your song is very well composed, Accordion is not really my thing but you play it very well. I think it is becoming a lost art. Musically very classical, you have definitely mastered this instrument. Keep at it.

Thanks again for asking me to review your music. It is nice to hear a variety of instruments and the Accordion is one of those unique classic instruments. I think of high places in the Alps or a place in Switzerland and a small folk town. This piece has a nice melody, it is a nice clear recording for a solo piece. This also places me in classic time period picturing people in lederhosen in a nice European style. Nicely done!

Cncerto for accordion - Andantino by E.P.Mortensen

Very intersting piece in a bachianan mood. Very well played by the author I gess. The minor theme is very interesting, not so the major theme that happens to be shorter and just for a formal need of the andantino. Very pleasant piece tohear. Thanks Mr Mortensen

Twisted Baroque

New York composer Erik-Peter Mortensen has composed a clever neo-Baroque concerto movement for the accordion. This is an interesting setting and aside from the obvious concert hall potential this piece would make a quirky soundtrack piece.

I'm not a fan of baroque music but i must say i did enjoy listening to you. And I really admire your technique. It's really great! Accordion is a tough instrument to play and i'm very impressed.

It is not for accordion

The piece is certainly professionally constructed. The composer has high skill. But I do not find it interesting for the following reasons: 1. It does not seem a piece written for accordion, but rather for organ and then carried on accordion 2. There is little variation. Despite the harmonious and melodic, and even rhythmic, curvature, the song is heavy to listen to. There is no adequate timbric and dynamic contraptions 3. The ideas are not that "inspired": I hear Bach, Buxtehude, Pachelbel...Faurè is more modern than this As a result, the piece has, in my opinion, a sound too thick and heavy. The characteristic of the accordion, that is lightness and agility, is not exalted in any way.
