In My World
iIce blend of harmonies, reminds me a bit of the artist Leo Sayers. Exceptional musicians. The composition is faultless to my mind. I love the varied range of the lead vocalist. This is a great song expressing what many people go through when in a rut or transition. I found it very comforting.

In My World
Hello, First I want to explain that I'm reviewing your song In My World from a commercial point of view... which is to say how viable is the tune for placement with established artists in it's current state. The structure of the tune is of the tune is good... nice flow between sections with attention to dynamics. Having said that the ending felt weak and didn't support your idea... kinda felt like a throw away.. Melody were nicely conceived with a pleasing shape.... easy to listen to. Prosody was okay but could use some more of your time... The words should feel like speaking (would you actually say what you're singing? i.e.: first line of your song)...listen to some tunes that you really like and check out the way words and music fit together to create an ambience for the song. Lyrics were okay... but they didn't really stand out... find the words that are unique to your experiences in life... Hope this was helpful and Keep Writing!....... It all about finishing as that's where the most growth takes place RW

One Two Three Four!
In My World. What a lovely song and fantastic effort. The guitar intro really drew me in as I expected to hear Cat Stevens sing, something about the guitar hook. Father and Son by Cat Stevens. There’s a similarity in concept but no way they are the same. Just similar enough to remind me of this other song I had not heard in a very long time. Great vocal, great mix. I was starting to think that I was not going to have anything at all to criticize, and then: One Two Three Four! Bang. The mix is lost in a muddied mess. The harmony made everything too dense and my ear didn’t know what to follow. Fix that and this isn’t just a good song, it’s a great song, even just delete those dense sounding harmonies. Some serious EQ work is desperately needed in these areas. If you are familiar with Match EQ, I’ve recently read and not tried this, but it is suggested to capture the EQ of the lead vocal and then apply the inverse of that to the background vocals. That would scoop out sonic area and keep it from getting too dense. Another approach would be a plug-in called TrackSpacer by WavesFactory which does much the same thing with less fuss but you need to know how to sidechain. This mess only lasts a brief time, and seemed worst the first time the four count happens. So, fantastic effort. Great song. Great mix. One major flaw to correct and you might have a hit on your hands — worth the bother.

This is what good music sounds like...
I really like the lead-guitar work. And the mix is great, you created an upbeat, full sound that I just love. I also enjoy songs that have the vision to write about something besides falling in love/romance passion. Liked the lyrics. I would say that my only suggestions would be that you might consider changing up the single-note harmony throughout the second verse. It gave it a bag-pipe feel that didn't quite fit in the song to me. Maybe a little cleaning up on some of the vocals/timing, but other than that, excellent work. Keep it up!

Melodies in harmony
This song has a melody line that I find easy to listen to and I can relate to it in my own writing. I like the composition and this arrangement works well, all the way. I find myself humming the melody afterwards. Fine steady song.

Great sound and use of your vocal range! Would love to hear something using more of the powerhouse side of your singing :) The song gives me both almost a Beatles and Lumineers vibe depending on the part of the song. Would love to hear more!! Great job!!!

Erik Robert Nordskog / Songs / In my world In my world by Erik Robert Nordskog 04:00 nice song. Hi Erik. Nice song. Good energy. Well performed. Good voice. Good guitars. The organ makes it go very deep. Hearing the lyrics you seem like an honest and sincere singer songwriter. The composition is not bad either: Pretty elaborated, romantic. But, you put in a bridge, that's good, but why didn't you repeat it once more ? It is authorisized to repeat a break or a bridge, u can call it what u like, in a song. A song should actually be a bit an attack on the subconscious mind. The composition is undisputedly one of the main keys to that. But maybe this is one of those u have to listen to a second time, to get the tune in your head. Very interesting. Pieter B. from Ghent, Belgium.
