Celtic, medieval and Renaissance echoes mixed with airs of rock and current pop to sing the poetry of yesterday and today. Espliego was created in January 1999 in Herencia (Ciudad Real), with the union of two singer-songwriters, Pedro Chaparro, José Ignacio Cordero and guitarist Adrián Rodríguez. Between 1999 and 2003 they released the albums "... con el tallo de un lirio", "El libro de Juan Alcaide" and "Amulet de estrellas" in which music is put to Castilian-La Mancha poetry. "Nunca fuera caballero" (poems and songs of Don Quixote) with the collaboration of Amancio Prada, Luis Pastor, Joaquín Díaz, Maite Dono is published in 2005 . In March 2007, appears "Cortes de Amor", a revision of the poems of the Provençal troubadours in the album collaborate the groups La Guardia, Suburbano, Amancio Prada, Ismael, Maite Dono and the poet Agustín García Calvo among others. Five years later the group brings to light their sixth album "La Rosa del pecado", a recreation of the poetic universe of the Goliards.
