A true artist will say that music flows through their veins. Music is in their lungs, thoughts, actions, words, emotions, touch and in everything that has to do with life. For a young, innovative and aspiring artist, This holds true. Essentral AKA Gynx, an ambitious and talented young man, was born Dane Moxam 1986. This exceptional musical talent hails from the very beautiful parish of St. Elizabeth in Jamaica. At just 2 months old, Essentral’s mother, moved the family to Corville Gardens, Duhaney Park in Kingston where he attended Corville Gardens Prep School. It was at Horizon Park, Spanish Town where at the age of 13, Essentral discovered his talent and passion for music.

While in high school, Essentral was introduced to a promoter, Vaga, and a businessman, Lenny Hype by a close friend and mentor named Sheldon. They saw a richness and literally, rising star in this at the moment unknown young man. He had the opportunity to perform at the Towns popular community shows Early Thursday and Dela Splash. Essentral was quickly recognized and favored for his controversial and catchy lyrics and soon after went on to do more community stage shows in and around Spanish town.
Essentral was introduced to Vybz Kartel and also recorded a song for the well-known and legendary, Gregory Isaacs. He is able to win over any crowd that he performs for and is still seeking to make his mark on the dancehall scene with his hard hitting, hardcore, controversial, romantic and uplifting lyrics. His lyrical ability speaks volumes and shows such incredible taste and passion that the listener becomes infatuated.

Essentral has grown as an artist that is working on his craft and style to better convey his message not limiting his musical influences on just the Jamaican audience, but to other countries that love and appreciate dancehall and reggae music for its quality and not quantity. With his fresh lyrics and ability to appeal to a younger generation, Essentral is just at the tip of greatness. He is able to relate to the youths with positivity and fun. At the start of a flourishing career, he has the poise, edgy realism and attractive physique that captures the hearts and ears of his audience.
