Interesting
Your style is unique and fresh I would try and tighten up on the production side of things get an engineer or send it out for professional mixing I know the raw sound has charm but a proper mix would get you noticed

Fantastic
The drum intro on this is nice, vocals are always nice. You did a good job with the lyrics, that’s one thing it usually takes me a while with. This song was very well put together and balanced.

My Burdens Light review. this song is a strictly country piece in the highest sense of the word. everything sounds in country style as I said everything recalls the country genre. personally it is not my favorite genre but I can give you a musical judgment that is certainly positive because all that there must be in country piece in your piece is therefore complimented and continues. good job

In MY Opinion
Greetings, Thank you for choosing me to review your work, I count it an honor to be included in such a task. My hat is off to you and anyone willing to step out and share their gift, talent and love of music to the public. Be it a musician, singer, song writer, actor and so-on. I myself, via 40 some years of experience in the fields, on the road, in the studio, radio, TV, video, and management, consider myself to be a seasoned musician, singer, song writer, studio-sound tech/engineer/ owner/operator, stage manager, find it sometimes hard/difficult and perhaps not even fair to sit in a seat, voicing My Opinion concerning anothers creative efforts. Especially in certain genres of music I am not all that familiar with concerning very important elements that make up and meet the required standards to justify the various levels of ratings and grades. So, in saying ALL that, I will limit myself to MY Opinion concerning the quality of the work according to My ears, and the standards I have been familiarized with thru-out the years. I hold to the old - saying " Beauty Is In The EAR of The Beholder ... LOL. The sound of the recording over-all is crisp and bright and clear, great guitar work, vocals are sweet until you bring in the harmony, then it sounds like an out of time - delayed duet, sorry. The drum and bass do not really sound real, but, mechanical, like a drum machine. I mean no offense in any part, I myself take all feedback and use it as a tool toward my next project. I pray you feel the same way. Either way, I say to you, keep doing what you do, keep kicking and enjoying what you do. I tell folks all the time for many years. When it stops being FUN, then it's time to stop, and stand back and think about what we are doing, why we are doing it, how we are doing it, what we and others are getting out it. Is it what we want, and how we want it. IF NOT. what are willing to do from there? Thank you again for asking MY OPINION. Johnny

My Burden's Light
I love your quiet gentle voice, so full of love for His Presence. I love the way you phrase your verses in the lyrics. All so anointed. Gentle country blue grass sound, with a unique rock genre vibe. I love your music Esther! The instrumental in this song is especially poignant in the electric guitar strumming, very anointed. The Percussion is just perfect tempo and keeps stressing the lyrics without being too overpowering for your soft voice. I set my heart to renew my vow to Him when I hear this song. Keep making music with Jesus Our Lord and sending us those Heavenly Downloads out into the earth's atmosphere! You are winning souls wih your voice & talents!

Love the intro
I liked the intro a lot! The bass riff was very nice. Throughout the song, the instrumentals, lead guitar work, were very well done. The instrumental mix was pretty well balanced as well. The vocals were well done, and I especially liked the harmonies that shined! I had a hard time getting the lyrics throughout - I just didn't understand the words. This could be due to the recording mix as much as anything I believe as the instrumental was a little to forward. The vocals sounded more like they were background to the instrumental. I did enjoy the song!

Hi
I like the Melody and Yes I like Your Voice but I do not like the arrangement and Quality of recording..I think You need to re record and if You do that put More energy in the vocal part as it is now is To Plain for me..I was just thinking haw Music Publishers and Radio Stations will react to tell You trutch I do not see if They will "jump" I think that Better Recording is a Must...I hope You will work on it.. I wish You a good luck with pitching.. Good Luck..

Hi sister Esther. You have an awesome heart, and that comes through in your song. I like the message of your song and the style of the song that you have chosen. I would like to hear your voice a little bit louder in the mix because some of the words were hidden by the instruments. I also like the harmonies that are a part of the song. Might you consider redoing the lead guitar? It seemed to follow a bit of a wandering path that a dog would follow while tracking down a critter through the under bush. ;) The end of the song seemed to be a bit lost as well. All of the instruments seemed to try and finish the song their own way. Maybe have that issue organized a bit better. Keep on singing for Jesus sister. I believe that you will open many a heart for Jesus to walk in; if you haven't already. ;) lol Blessings, Trev :)

soothing vocal spoiled by poor production
Esther has a soothing voice, sings on pitch, and the message of this song is soothing, but you would never know it to listen to the band. The bass is pretty good, and the drums sound synthetic and a little bit in-your-face. The lead guitar is just awful, I'm afraid: busy, messy, unmusical, and amateurish, playing a solo that is completely out of character with the melody and message of the song. The vocals are not mixed out front of the band enough, so it's hard to understand the words at times, and although the harmonies are pretty good, they are overused.

Hi Esther! I'm so thankful to hear some good gospel music! You have a really good voice. I do tthink that the background music could be a little bit louder in the mix. Your guitarist should simplify his licks a little, also. You are singing more traditional gospel and he is playing almost a rock solo. If you sing harmonies, it'd be nice to hear you do those versus the vocal harmonizer. But the lyrics are strong and my only suggestion would be to step up your production to a more professional level. God bless!

Review of My Burdens Light"
Well Sis. Swably, you have done it again ! This song is strong ! God has most defiantly placed the gift of communicating His message to the world thru song writing. I could definitely "feel" the message you are conveying. Anyone can hear it & understand it. This is vital in song writing, especially when God is inspiring us with what He wants . We way too often get distracted by what rhymes or "doesn't offend". God's Word will always "offend" sinners. The only negative I heard is the guitar on the turnaround ran away from the beat & tune of the song. It actually distracted from it. Otherwise, AWESOME !

Thanks
1s tlet me say thank you. You wrote this song? Im going to say yes. Vocals are up front where they belong. Harmony is nice. Song has a nice feel to it. The bass player is shredding. He is the highlight of this song. Does the title match the lyric? Just asking. While this is probably not a commercial song it has a great fun feel to it and you probably had a BLAST recording it. Keep up the good work, keep GOD 1st in all you do and things will work out exactly the way they are suppose to. GOD BLESS

My Burdens Light Review
Love the texture and feel, and vocals. I think it would've been real kicking if you replaced the guitar lead with pedal steel which would give it a much richer country feel. Also I thought the lead was a few bars to long. Other than that, Prasie the Lord and #GiveGodTheGlory!

Having reviewed another song by the same artist, I have to say this song is a bit better. The mix is definitely refined with drums, bass and guitars sounding better and much more clear. The vocals seem double tracked which make them hard to understand or just not clear. I just wish the vocals stood out in the mix more and easier to understand!

Esther - you have a very nice sounding voice, but the addition of the vocal effects & harmonies actually ruins what is a lovely sounding song on its own. The vocal processor sounds too mechanical / robotic - and thus takes away from how nice your voice sounds. I believe that it would be much better if you kept it simple (just you) - and let us hear your voice without adding in the vocal processing / effects - even if it means that you have to lose the harmonies. As soon as they came on it took away from your natural and sweet sounding voice. Keep it limited to a little reverb at most, and maybe doubling if you really need it. Also - the song feels a little too rushed - I would slow the tracks down a bit, so you can "perform" and support those sweet notes...
