About Eternal Fear
The original core members of Eternal Fear formed the band in their
hometown of Karlskoga, Sweden in the early 1990’s and after a
number of band name and line- up changes they settled under the
Eternal Fear moniker in 1995.
Between 1995 and 2001 the band concentrated on writing songs,
recording demos and gaining live experience on the local area club
circuit. With a strong work ethic for writing and perfecting their songs
the band finally hit the recording studio to lay down tracks for their first
album “Never Ending Existence”, self-released in 2002 the album
received good reviews and sold well via the bands website, the album
is now only available in a few CD copies.
The follow up album “Evil Deeds” saw the band make huge steps in
developing their own sound and this album achieved greater media
coverage for reviews and further interest in the band throughout
mainland Europe. Released in 2007 “Evil Deeds” received strong sales
across Europe via the TPL website.
After further writing sessions and live shows in Sweden the band
returned to the studio for the recording of “Embraced In Darkness”
(2009), further increasing their international profile. In 2012 a limited
edition three track EP was released which previewed two new tracks
and an exclusive live version of “Embraced In Darkness”. The EP was
released by the bands new Italian based label; Sliptrick Records, who
they had recently signed to giving the band distribution throughout
mainland Europe.
In 2013 the band released their first album “Eternal Damnation” for
Sliptrick Records. The album has been the bands best seller and led to
the release of two successful promotional videos for the tracks “World
Comes Down” and the title track “Eternal Damnation”. This year also
saw them touring beyond Swedish shores for the first time including
Beermageddon 2013 Festival in Bromsgrove, UK and signing to Viper
Music & Promotions with the addition of three further dates in England.
A return to the UK took place in October 2013 extending the Eternal
Damnation Tour. The show at The Intrepid Fox in London was recorded
live and released on CD, “UK Damnation – Live in London MMXIII”.
For 2014, the boys played shows in Sweden, and having built up a core
following in Britain they gigged the Shadows Rising Tour in May and
October – two shows were filmed @The Box in Crewe and Fixxion
Warehouse in Wolverhampton, Mattias Lövdal left the band in
November after 10 years.
With Torbjörn Brogren joining as Bass player in May '15 - giving them a
more weighty and forthright sound.
The band entered the studio to record their latest album "Killing Time"
which was released early 2017.
The "Killing Time" album received very good reviews across Europe.
The first video "No Guts" from the album was released in February 2017.
"Halls of Odin" is the second video from the album and was released in
November 2018 prior to Eternal Fear's participation on the HRH Vikings festival
in Sheffield 1 December 2018.
A special album was released 1 October 2017. "The Old Tapes 95-97" which
contains all the demos that were recorded during that time period.
It's a digital release only and can be found on most digital music distributors.
An 6 track EP is recorded at the moment for release in February 2021.
