About Eve
A native of London, England, I took vocal training with renowned teacher Jean Marshall and performed in clubs like 'Mean Fiddler' as part of the duo Eleventh Hour, later at the 'Rock Garden' as part of my own (The Eve Hands Band)! Emigrating to Los Angeles I performed regularly at well-known venues like 'The Roxy' and 'Molly Malone's', garnering some great reviews in the SoCal music press and attracting some talented musicians and songwriters in the process, who went on to enjoy bigger music careers than mine; hey - never mind; my time is coming...better late than never...she who was last, will be first!
:)
Encouraged by legendary songwriters John Prine, David Pack and Kara DioGuardi, at this point my catalogue of songs runs into the 1000s, of which only a few 100 have been recorded.
After my divorce from a well-known Art Conservator and a founding father of the Krshna Consciousness movement which sprang out of the late '60s San Francisco flower-power scene (my ex-husband is still my biggest fan!), and a brief and oh-so memorable six months in Nashville, TN, I moved away from all distractions to the remote island of Kaua'i to immerse myself in my creativity and increase my overall writing output (as well as a prolific songwriter, I am also a prolific writer, with several screenplays - some produced - manuscripts, and childrens stories to my credit). I am in love with this island, and heartbroken about the rest of the world and the way people treat each other and animals (I'm an adult-long non-meat eater and cannot fathom the brutality of the flesh trades, even though my maternal uncle, who is still dear to me, is a retired butcher). My paternal grandmother was a gifted clairvoyant and spiritualist who gave me her blessing - she was the only member of my family to understand why I left England for America, and I sense that she loves 'my' island, too.
Where there is a Will, a Way will be made; this I sincerely believe; only align with the Divine! I have a Vision for this beautiful planet we call Earth (which should logically be called Ocean!), and one day hope it will be much more like Heaven.
