About Exit 451
The band Exit 451 (Montreal) has recorded an ambient and mesmerizing pop-rock album with thoughtful lyrics and a fresh new sound. The album was released in the Fall of 2010 and digitally distributed In 1990, brothers Alain and Martin Avon founded what became one of Montreal’s most popular underground bands: Imaginary Steps. In 1991, they released their successful pop-rock album Maybe Tomorrow (including the single The more I learn). The success of this recording led them to play in New York, as well as charting around the world; it also gave them the opportunity of supporting major bands in ...many concert halls. They then released their critically applauded alternative rock album What good will it do in 1993, and played more shows than ever before.
In the following years, and despite losing their lead singer, the brothers continued to write original music, worked in many professional recording studios until 1999 where JP Alepins (singer/songwriter) joined the band. The next years were crucial for the three musicians as they continued playing concerts but most importantly, writing new songs in order to find a real personal sound.
In the meantime, along with their new partner, the Avon brothers re-opened a famous recording studio in 2004, under the name of The Bank Studio 451, where a 96 channels SSL console (9000 J) was recently installed. Exit 451 musicians & privat
