Hailing from West Bath, Maine, False Prophecy
is a metal force to be reckoned with. Constructing songs that will shear your head off, as the band has musically grown together, mixing old school thrash with a touch of new metal, continually written new songs to produce skull crushing music for the masses. 2011 was the break out year for False Prophecy, building a fan base that has brought a lot of attention as an up and coming band. Playing over 30 gigs last year all across Maine. And opening up for some of the hottest national acts around, groups like, BLACKGUARD, DIECAST, THE BUNNY THE BEAR, DR. ACULA, TEXAS HIPPIE COALITION and THY WILL BE DONE. Plus some of the greatest local acts around. 2011 saw the release of the bands first demo, with four songs on it. Which has been played in sixteen different countries. Two songs were used in the YOUTUBE show, THE POOL DUDES. And all the songs on the demo have been played on a number of local radio shows, in which FALSE PROPHECY won the METALBLAST OVERBLAST FOR THE HEAVIEST LOCAL METAL ACT OF 2011 from WBOR RADIO. 2011 also the song, BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS, to appear on the NEW ENGLAND METAL COALITION cd, a cd of 20 local unsigned bands from different states. And now as 2012 enters, we have entered the studio for a full lenth cd to be released by the end of march and the release of three video's to come, it's going to be a very busy year for us.
