About Fear Apparent
Prog infused with Power/Thrash Metal In July 2012, Fear Apparent arose from the ashes of Keith Benway and Jesse Randolph's death metal metal band, "Wounded Remains", under the moniker Astral Projection. After jamming and writing what is now "Lucid Dreams", Benway and Randolph enlisted Robert Slater for Lead Vocals, and soon after Jesse Neafsey joined on Bass Guitar. After discovering "Astral Projections" was already a music group in existense we bounced around a few new names and Slater gave "Fear Apparent". Thus, FA was born! With a full line-up and a new and improved band name, Fear Apparent wrote several songs and started showcasing their talents all around Connecticut. In Spring of 2013, FA started recording a four-song EP with Mike Z Livingston of Ear One Productions. The EP was released June 26th, 2013 and was given much respect in the local scene, aswell as overseas. Soon after the release, Neafsey left and the band took a very slight break to search for the right bassist to join the family. Fear Apparent was blessed with the joining of long-time friend and ex-member of Wounded Remains, Walter Kiernan. With Kiernan's addition to the band, FA finished the writing of their very first 20 minute-long epic and plan to enter a studio and record it as their second EP release. 2014 is a very promising year for Fear Apparent!
