Born on September 27, 1984. At age of 12, sang for the first time in public.
In 2005 discovers FADO and participate in competitions, always ending in first places. Starts to be known in the circuit o Filipa Tavares was bornon September 27, 1984. At age of 12, sang for the first time in public.
In 1999, won a talent contest organized by a local radio station, integrating the project ''Meninas da Radio.''

In 2002 running for a television show''Vou Ser uma Estrela''in SIC 10 HOURS, was sacred finalist among 12,000 competitors.

In 2005 discovers FADO and participate in competitions, always ending in first places. Starts to be known in the circuit of Fado Vadio and in 2009, sings along with Gonçalo Camara Pereira. With this friendship came an invitation to join the operetta ''Fado é Vida''.
From August 2009 until September 2010 sang as a resident singer in a typical restaurant ''Dragao de Alfama'' from which emerged voices as Teresa Salgueiro, from Madredeus. In January 2011 had the privilege to be invited to inaugurate the first fado house in Madrid, leaving then to Canada for various shows and interviews.

At the moment, and since September 2010, sings Fado at the Restaurant ''Coraçao d'Alfama''and had released her debut album, AMOR-PERFEITO (Pansy).

Filipa Tavares is now working in her second album.
