Back to Chisholm Tavern and Jack’s this weekend. Hope to see all you Canberra and Bathurst friends as this will be our last trip to both places before Xmas. Saturday 5th we have a gig for the Wollongong Blues Club at Corrimal RSL, this is going to be a biggie, Mike Elrington from Melbourne will kick off proceedings with an acoustic set, then Finn will grace the stage for a set of original blues and Americana. Then Al Britton and myself will join Mike E for a set of electric blues and Dave Tice will finish of the evening’s entertainment, ably assisted by Al, Paul and myself. Make sure you are early or you might not get a seat. Finn will be working right thru the Xmas season this year, Kent Hotel 27/12/15, Belconnen Soccer club NYE, The Townie 3rd of Jan 2016, then we will have a week off to unwind. So if you are not going away come and celebrate the holiday season with us. The Jams We still need some of you back at the Caro, we had a better week attendance wise last Thursday but there is always room for more, we have 240 odd members on FB would be nice to catch you all once a month at least. The jam at the Carousel has been going for 8 years and the city jam about 12, and we would like to see them both go on into the next decade if possible and then Al and I can pass the baton on to the younger generation. I wonder what the waitress would have to say if someone actually ordered their breakfast as this guy did?! A trucker came into a Truck Stop Cafe' and placed his order. He said I want three flat tires, a pair of headlights and a pair of running boards.' The brand new blonde waitress, not wanting to appear stupid, went to the kitchen and said to the cook, ‘This guy out there just ordered three flat tires, a pair of headlights and a pair of running boards. What does he think this place is, an auto parts store?' 'No,' the cook said. 'Three flat tires... mean three pancakes; a pair of headlights... is two eggs sunny side up; and a pair of running boards... are 2 slices of crisp bacon! 'Oh...OK!' said the blonde. She thought about it for a moment and then spooned up a bowl of beans and gave it to the customer. The trucker asked, 'What are the beans for, Blondie?' She replied, 'I thought while you were waiting for the flat tires, headlights and running boards, you might as well gas up! FOR ONCE THE BLONDE GETS EVEN!!!!! #2 A man walks into the Election office and says to the receptionist... "I would like to put my name forward for the forthcoming elections to be an Independent candidate." The receptionist replied: "Certainly sir. Please fill in this form." He was filling the form until he came to the question - ''Are you circumcised?" So he asked the receptionist "Is this question necessary? He asked, "What possible difference would it make if I were circumcised?" She replied: "Sir, I'm sorry, but, if you are circumcised, you aren't eligible to run as a candidate for the election, To become a politician, you have to be a complete prick"!
