Musical heavyweights Rival Consoles (Erased Tapes), Justin Robertson (Skint/BMG) and Alex Banks (Monkeytown) will take to the stage on Friday 27th October at London Bridge venue OMEARA with support from rising electronica duo fire_sign (4am City).
From this carefully curated line-up you can expect complex, emotional and intricate electronica that will move your mind with its beauty, and your body with its beats. This night of music is a rare, not to be missed treat on the London scene.

BRENDAN RODGERS - THE NEURO FOUNDATION
Neurofibromatosis is an unpredictable and variable genetic condition. Categorised into NF1 and NF2, the severity of the condition varies from person to person and whilst some may live a normal life, others with NF could have a multitude of medical, physical and psychological conditions, e.g. It can cause tumours on the optic and auditory nerves, curvature of the spine; malformation of bones, and over 60% of NF1 patients have learning difficulties.
The Foundation funds Specialist NF Nurses to help and advise NF sufferers and the important people in their lives such as their parents, siblings, teachers, employers and care workers. It also funds a national helpline and website to offer support and up-to-date information about the condition.

Rival Consoles

London-based producer Ryan Lee West, better known under the name Rival Consoles, is notable for making synthesizers sound human and atmospheric. With the release of his 'Odyssey' and 'Sonne' EPs, West has gained a reputation for making thoughtful electronica that spans a wide spectrum of musical ideas. Foremost a guitarist, growing up listening to rock rather than club music, his new studio album ‘Howl’ sees West strive towards finding a more personal balance between music for home listening and larger spaces.
Fascinated by sound from an early age, Ryan chose to dedicate his time to studying, experimenting with and producing sound, graduating from De Montfort University in his hometown Leicester. Having repeatedly performed at such prestigious venues as the Tate, and having created a bespoke audio-visual performance for Boiler Room at the V&A Museum, the blueprint for West’s current live A/V show was formed. Featuring self-programmed visuals in Max/MSP has earned him appearances at music festivals around the world including Mutek, Decibel, Big Ears and Berghain’s Pop-Kultur Festival, as well as tours in support of Clark, Nosaj Thing, Luke Abbott and Kiasmos.

DJ/Producer Justin Robertson began his career in Manchester working behind the counter at Eastern Bloc records. He went on to DJ at the Konspiracy club in Manchester, and began his own Sunday club Spice with fellow DJ Greg Fenton. In the early 1990s he started the Most Excellent club and played at The Haçienda. Subsequently, he went on to run Sleuth with Richard Hector-Jones and was one of the residents at Bugged Out.
Robertson has released several DJ mix albums and continues to perform DJ sets at venues and festivals globally delivering killer headline sets at Bestival, Unknown, Glastonbury, Festival No 6 and Electric Elephant. He has fronted the groups Lionrock and Thee Earls, has released albums and singles of original music under his own name, has a long standing production partnership with Daniel Avery, and at one time operated the vanity record label Neverwork.
Famously Robertson has remixed dozens of high-profile music artists, either as himself or as The Prankster, Revtone or The Deadstock 33s, re-working acts such as Björk, Erasure, Happy Mondays, Paul Weller, Justice, Andrew Weatherall, Stereo MC’s, and Klaxons to name but a few in a terrifyingly huge catalogue.
Most recently Robertson released the Deadstock 33s album Everything is Turbulence on Skint Records, who he signed to in 2015. An album of remixes from this LP was released in January 2017. His chart topping radio show, “The Temple of Wonders” goes out on a monthly basis on Soho Radio, featuring a hugely eclectic range of music.
Robertson moved to London in 2003 from where he works from his Solitary Cyclist studio somehow finding time to write and to paint as well. His latest art exhibition “The Explorer’s Chronicle” was shown as part of a four day arts extravaganza at Red Gallery in London in June 2016. He produced and curated a programme of live music, DJ sets, talks, discussions and a film screening, with a book and score to accompany it.

Since releasing his debut album Illuminate in the summer of 2014, Buckinghamshire-born and Brighton-based producer Alex Banks has progressed from being an in-demand remixer and Solid Steel ‘Mix of the Year’-winning DJ to that and so much more today. From touring Europe with Moderat to DJing in Tokyo for Red Bull Music Academy’s EMAF, via countless live performances at continental festivals including Germany’s legendary Melt, he’s raised his own bar, his own way. And what comes now and next is just as forward thinking as the material he’s put out previously, unbounded by electronic music’s typically rigid genre barriers and capable of connecting with an audience on a cerebral as well as a physical level.
A key word is emotion: Alex’s music has it to spare. That was evident back when his remix of Bonobo’s ‘The Keeper’ crept out in early 2012, slow-rising to public recognition as the outstanding reworking of material featured on Simon Green’s acclaimed Black Sands LP. With the best part of two million plays across SoundCloud and YouTube alone, attracting SoundCloud user comments like “a true masterpiece”, the track’s popularity, beside fine receptions for further remixes for the likes of Andreya Triana and Husky Rescue, formed a fine foundation from which Alex could further develop his own original material, forever retaining a grip on his audience’s hearts as he moves their bodies.

Taking influence from as much electronica and techno as they can fit in their ears, the duo have drawn comparison as diverse as Zomby, Massive Attack, Dusty Springfield, even their musical heroes Moderat.
fire_sign have performed at Hazy Days Festival, Pandora Fest, at The Electronica Social, at Brighton’s Chapter XIII Studio & Gallery and at venues all over London including The Good Ship, Zigfrid von Underbelly, Queen of Hoxton, 93 Feet East, Mau Mau Bar (where they supported Hejira), The Garage, Servant Jazz Quarters (supporting Alex Banks), The Nest, and Paper Dress Vintage for Indigo Sessions amongst others.
The duo’s work has been playlisted by Amazing Radio, American podcast The Justin Wayne Show, Threnody’s Sub FM radio show, Repeat FM, It Matters Radio, In the Moog and local UK radio.
