The Day is finally here that I can say without any reservations that our newest single "Generic Hope" is done, mastered, and uploaded to our songs page for you all to enjoy. As a bonus we remastered our last song "Average Man" and included it as well. It is accompanying Generic hope as the B side to the single so if you were to purchase it you would get "Average Man" free as a bonus track, just like buying an old 45 or even a cd single a few years back. We're TOTALLY STOKED on how both songs turned out and know you will be too!

Read moreHey Everybody! The day we've worked hard for is finally here. Our newest single entitled "Average Man" is out as of midnight last night and available on all your major music sites. Don't worry, it will only set you back a buck! I wanted to thank all of you for your support and encouragement in writing, producing and releasing more music. I will be honest. Sometimes being an independent artist can weigh pretty heavily on one's shoulders. Some days you feel like there is an obvious reason to continue with what you're doing, and other days you wonder why you might be putting so much into it, and wonder if anybody is actually listening. It is refreshing to know there are people listening, who appreciate the work you are doing. All of you have enabled me to feel positive about my work and have given me reason to continue, so check out the new song. I think you'll really like it. Hi All,
I wanted to let everybody know we will be sending our latest single in for mastering, which means it's release is right around the corner. The title is "Average Man" and it will be followed in a month or two my another single called "Generic Hope". We're really proud of the production and how bad ass it has come out to this point. We decided to use a different technique in tracking the drums so they came out bigger than on our last album, so we're stoked about that! Ah shit yeah!!

About Fornis
Fornis is a hard hitting, twist inducing rock/old school punk band from the Sacramento area in Northern California, that still applies a significant amount of emphasis in practicing the craft of the first era of rock and roll. The band was formed when Todd, former frontman of punk bands The Duodenums(2000-2004) and Pruno (2004-2009) got together with Trapper, professional drummer from the bay area in countless bands including Elvis Duck and The Cliff Fields Group, to see what they could come up with. After a few sessions it was evident something was there with which to work. Having slightly different musical tastes and styles, they quickly found common ground in Rock and Roll as a whole, utilizing generations of rock influence as a foundation. Once a solid platform on which to start writing material was established, they decided to add another unique element to their sound in well known metal Keyboardist Keydragon. The abundant bottom and swirling highs, along with the occasional piano and organ sounds were put in place to round out the palette. From there the sound was developed, the material was written and Fornis is what it has come to be. A rock band with a unique style and extremely catchy tunes guaranteed to extract a lost or suppressed sense of fondness or familiarity from the listener. Solid, to the point old school rock + doo wop/ punk + metalhead keyboardist with a splash of agalmatophilia.
