This band is all me for better or for worse. The real reason why this is a one man band is way too long to explain. Long story short is that I started writing songs in 1998, but didn’t pick up a guitar until years later. Now I’m old, have a full time job, and family and those are my top priorities. My music is what it is, because I wanted to write something that I’d listen to. I don’t get inspired by one band or two or even five. I get inspired by all the music I’ve loved over the years and translate it into my own version of that music. I don’t write to be different, to fit in, to make money (because I don’t), to have tons of fans, or any of that junk. I write because I have a nagging voice whispering in my head and force pulling at my heart. I write because I feel like I have to and I can never really understand why. I started translating my music onto guitar the first week I owned a guitar as crazy as it sounds. I wrote all the time for the first few years and most of it was bad, the rest was just terrible. I didn’t write an entire year before starting this project that later became known as Four Angels Four Winds. In that year I realized that there is a difference between writing the type of music you like to listen to and writing from your heart. I set out to write the music that naturally came from me and that’s where this band was born. It will never be perfect or revolutionary, but it will be honest. Four Angels Four Winds is one guy pouring his heart out in an honest attempt to create something genuine. My only goal is to get it into the hands of the people that can enjoy it as much as I do.
