Hello friends of good music and songwriting.
It is about one year ago that I released my last album "Anyway". Finishing an album for which I have done the writing of music and lyrics as well as the musical arrangements, leave me empty for a while. Every time it feels like "that was it. can't think of any new stories, melodies etc." And every time the urge to write new songs comes back. So album number 5 in the next year seems likely. I have finished four songs so far and more song ideas are in the pipeline. So far I created a love song although I usually don't write love songs. Another song is a humorous look on excessive use of smart phones. The a story about an older guy only worrying about the future of his dog while reading about the world drama happening outside of his cafe at the beach. Most important though is a song about homeless people. Enjoy life and don't get Covid.

My new 13-track album, probably called "Anyway", is in it's final production stage. I am sure that it will be a high quality production. Waiting for the sax player to come into the studio. In the meantime we are working on fine tuning the final mix for the rest of the songs. Good things take time.

Dear Friends and Followers,
Being a songwriter in Australia I had to write a song about the horrific bush fires. Written, arranged, recorded and added images and now published. Pls see this link and let me know what you think. I hope to generate donations for wild life (koalas) rescue:

Dear Friends & Supporters,
Al though I have written 4 new songs this year, two satirical/humorous and two more serious ones, I find it hard sometimes to stay motivated. Today's music scene is no longer what it used to be. Endless self promotion via social media channels is not my strength. I think, write, compose and arrange. And Australia is not really a big market and the US is so far away.
Anyway, have you seen my award winning ,music video yet? If not, here's the link:

Hope you like it.

I am not a songwriter who writes songs en mass and therefore it might take a few years until I am ready to record new songs. I have heaps of ideas but only a few musicians can make a living from their passion. Hence we need to do other things too to pay the bills. In 2018 we moved houses - 2000 km down South within Queensland, Australia. What a vast country. Since then I was renovating a house. Recently we had to travel to Europe to look after seriously ill family members. Jumping on a plane, being spat out of a plane on the other side of the globe, my soul always takes it time to follow. I am back in Australia, my soul takes it's time. Building a new home, rushing to sick friends and family members, looking deeper into family issues and a soul traveling with its own pace - all good stuff to write new songs. So watch this space. Cheers

Dear Music Lovers and Subscribers,
It is wonderful to have fans of my kind of music in all sorts of countries, especially when you live Down Under (Australia). Sorry, that I haven't been active for a while. After having recorded my last CD we sold my wife's business, went to Europe for 3 months and took some time of in general. We also looked for a new place to live. We decided to move from the Far North of Australia to Brisbane - a distance of almost 2000 km or min. 3 days by car. We moved to Brighton in Brisbane just early this year and have been renovating since then. So there was little time for writing new songs. It also is difficult sometimes to continue meaningful lyrics and telling stories with the help of music arrangements not knowing whether anybody is actually listening. These days there is so much out there in the digital orbit. And who is still buying CD's? Today most musicians can't really earn enough money to make a living from music. Gigs are mainly for cover song sets and badly paid. So how can we pay for real fine studio recordings. Enough of winging. In the meantime a have a list of topics, stories that want to become songs. So sooner rather than later this year I will be writing new songs again. 3 are already finished but not yet recorded. So pls have patience with me. And in case you like to buy a CD nevertheless, I am happy to mail one to you. Cheers

Thanks to all that have subscribed. I feel very lucky and blessed as I have never had fans from so many different countries and places. I have made a music video for the song "The Leafblower Anthem" lately which has already won an award at a short film festival in Australia. Pls see (expired link) It is quite funny. Hope you like it. Pls pass on the link. I am about to move from the far North of Australia to Brisbane, a step that does not give me much time for music. Anyway, I have written already 4 new songs for my next CD. Will keep you informed. Cheers

A big thank you to all those that have supported me so far. I am certainly a niche musician and songwriter with my songs being socio-critical, humorous or even satirical. To find music lovers in this field seems harder compared to pop, rock, country and blues musicians. I don't really easily fit in to any of these drawers as I am using music styles as they fit the stories I telling. Anyway, a music video has been produced for the song "The Leaf Blower Anthem". It will be screened at a shirt film festival here in Australia end of Oct. Afterwards I am free to put it up on Youtube and on NumberOneMusic so you can also see it. It is quite funny. Until then - take care and watch this space.
