About Frank Carter

Very entertaining, deeply heartfelt, energetic, fun, excellent technique, engaging performance. Refreshing. Incredible stage presence. Very tight as a band. Frank Carter merges rock energy and creative original tunes with an evident background of classical piano. He was born in Rock Island, IL as the third oldest of four. His father is an ordained minister. His grandfather taught him to play his first hymn.
Carter earned several awards throughout highschool in piano, songwriting, and voice.
He has been published in places such as, “The National Dean’s List”, “Who’s Who”, and “Outstanding Young Men of America”. Carter studied classical piano with Maurice Hinson (one of the top classical musicologists in the world), winning the school’s concerto competition (performance of Rachmaninov’s 2nd Piano Concerto with the symphony orchestra), etc. etc. He earned his Master's degree under Hinson.

Carter is a prolific composer/arranger, & writes as worship leader for his home church, as well as composing for musical groups in other churches.

Carter recently authored his first book, The Girl In the Tower, which is now available through most major retailers.
Carter's home is West Palm Beach, FL. He is the worship leader and director of music & arts at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. Check for scheduled events!
