He took first place in a guitar soloing contest sponsored by Gibson and Epiphone called Guitarfest in 2008 at House of Guitars in Rochester where he beat 300 plus other guitarists from 6 states in the finals.
In 2015 one of his original acoustic instrumental songs took 1st place in an international songwriting competition in the instrumental category. He is also signed to Tate Music Group and is about to release a new acoustic album called, "More Than You Think."
