It's time that I needed to say Hi to all of you who have faithfully supported me through the three years at N1M. It's been a rough 18 months, and I've decided to put my full song catalogue on my website (expired link) . Give it a visit when you get a chance. You're also free to contact me on (expired link) for lyric/chord sheets of any of my songs that you like. As I now will only be able to showcase a few songs on N1M, I am bringing my most recent ...... "Father", "You've got to Love Someone" and "She cannot Live in fear". Hope you enjoy the songs. Blessings.

Hello to all my N1M friends.
Hope you're well.
It's now Autumn in Johannesburg ...... beautiful days, cool evening and chilly nights ...... not really cold yet, but we'll get there.
This month I'll be swapping out a few songs. In comes 1. "Our Leaders" .....the type of leaders we're looking for in South Africa; 2. "Into a Different World" - a scene where despondency gets defeated..... I'd see this being performed by a Leonard Cohen type artist 3. "In Flanders Fields". I've put John McCrae's 1915 poem to a new melody. He wrote this poem after the horrendous 17 day and night long battle at Ypres during WW1. I'm hoping that this song will be used somewhere during Remembrance Day, in honour of those who sacrificed for our freedoms. 4. "Where are You Taking Me"... a "Chicago" type song needing a brass invasion. 5."The Messiah" which tells the story of the birth of our Saviour, 6. "Rom 8:37 In All these Things" .... a song of promise in these turbulent Covid times, and 7. "Always with You" ........... I'm not sure yet which songs I'll be removing, but you can always hear them on my full song catalogue on (expired link) .
Please remember that these are all "Rough-Demo's". I'm only the sketch-artist for each song ..... it's upto the artist/arranger to colour it in according to their style and interpretation.
Hope you enjoy.
Look after yourselves. Keep well and Stay safe!

Greetings ..... from Johannesburg, South Africa.
What a topsy-turvy year. For most musicians an absolute disaster. We can only pray that we receive the strength to continue as best we can, and hope that our music and creativity provide hope to those whose spirit is waning.
I'm bringing in 3 new songs being "'Cos Love has been Found", "Mother" and "Under the Shadow of His Wings". Of these "Mother" sounds a bit outdated .....because it is. I wrote this song more than 30 years ago, and only recently took it to the studio. It was very dear to a few ladies who have since passed on, and with my own Mother-in-Law passing on in July, I felt it was time to dust the ol' song off. I'm sure that if you had to ask anyone "which one person has had the most influence/effect on your life?", 90% would answer "my Mother". So thank you Mothers for the great sacrificial role you play in shaping our lives. The last song is "Under the Shadow of Your Wings" and was written for a Mother of a disabled child, who herself found great solace in Psalm 91. Hope you enjoy these songs.
Out goes 1) "It's All about the Heart", 2) "How many times" and 3) "Through Eyes of Love". If any of these songs are on your "Favorites" list, let me know your e-mail address and I'll happily send the MP3 file to you. My e-mail is (expired link) . Also, I now have a website where some of my songs as performed by other artists, as well as my entire song catalog, can be heard ...... (expired link) . Give those songs of your favorite genre a listen when you get a chance.
Please remember that all the songs being presented are produced on no/low budget and must be considered as "semi-finished work". They're intended to give my outline of the song, and not my performance skills. They're waiting for artists/performers/arrangers who can identify with a particular song, to make that song come ALIVE with their gift of great performance and production. So if you know of vocalists/performers looking for new material ...... please refer them. Maybe we can help each other.
Wishing you all a blessed Christmas, a goodbye to 2020, and a welcome to the new year 2021. May you all be blessed..

Greetings ..... from Johannesburg, South Africa.
Summer is on it's way, and we're all waiting for those thunder-storms to bring relief to the Highveld dryness. We're at Level 1 on the Covid scene, so whilst there are still some restrictions, they are not too limiting. March to September has been pretty frustrating in that everything moved at less than half-pace, but ....... we got through it. So I'm bringing my Covid song harvest to you.
7 new songs being " Hard-headed Woman","Weekend in Jozi", "Place and Pride", "Clive's Theme" (Instrumental), "Woman of Samaria", "How Many Times" and "Psalm 24: The Earth is the Lord's". I really hope that you'll enjoy these new songs.
Out goes 1) "Lord of Everything", 2) "Little Man", 3) "It is Us that they Depended On", 4) "You Never said Goodbye", "Dance of Life", "Waiting" and 7) "Thank You Lord Jesus" . If any of these songs are on your "Favorites" list, let me know your e-mail address and I'll happily send the MP3 file to you. My e-mail is (expired link) . Greeting from Johannesburg.
It's moving into Spring, and tomorrow they're taking the lock-down to Level 2 ....... which means I can get to the studio to start recording the vocals to a few new songs. Yes, I haven't been bone-idle, and I've managed to compose about 10 melodies in the past few months, with the lyrics for about 6 songs. So .... I hope to get those on this site within the next few weeks.
I hope you've all been OK during this topsy-turvy time. Please be very careful, and stay safe as we approach the remainder of this year. I know it hasn't been easy for most of you, but please dig deep, hold on tight and keep looking up.
Blessings,

Greetings to all from Johannesburg.
I bet you were all thinking "what's happened to this guy?". My apologies for not getting back to you earlier. Songs and recordings just haven't gone according to plan, but here's a few new ones. This month I'll be swapping-out 4 songs.
Out goes the "Christian/Gospel" song "Be Still"..... and from the "Others.... "Lay Your Head", "Little Man" and "Am I Only Dreaming". If any of these songs are on your "Favorites" list. let me know your e-mail address and I'll happily send the MP3 file to you.
I'm putting on "Imbalela" (Drought) which has been a major problem for South Africa in the last few years; "What am I going to do?", a song which I wrote for a movie about the unemployment/crime/socio-economic issues in South Africa; "It's All About", and "The Drakensberg" (a beautiful mountain-range that stretches across a great part of South Africa, where one can regain perspective of life's pressures and stressors).
I hope you'll enjoy the songs. Please remember that all the songs being presented are intended to show my song-writing skills and not my performance skills. They are produced on no/low budget and must be considered as "semi-finished work". They're waiting for artists/performers/arrangers who LOVE a particular song, to make that song come ALIVE with their gift of great performance and production. So if you know of vocalists/performers looking for new material ...... please send them my way. Maybe we can help each other.
I pray that these songs will touch your hearts, and uplift you at this time. Thank you all so much for your support.
The Lord bless you and keep you ..... and give you peace.

Greetings from Johannesburg South Africa.
For me 2019 was a "tough" year ....... so many good intentions, but it just didn't really get to where I wanted to be. Energy lag in the latter half of the year definitely had it's effect. But thank you for your support during 2019. All I need from my music is knowing that it brings you joy.........
BUT NOW IT'S 2020.
My wish is that 2020 be a year filled with joy, hope, love and peace...... for you and all your loved ones.
I have a couple of new songs which I need to take to the "rough-draft" stage, and I hope to get them onto this site by mid/end February.....aiming for the 29th! Leap-Leap-Hooray!
In the meantime I'm bringing back two of my older songs which you may not have heard before, being "I Want to Feel" and "Models Aren't Mannequins". I hope you enjoy! Coming off is "9/11 - A Tribute" and "Last Night I Held You". If any of these two songs are on your favourites, let me know and I'll send you the "rough-draft" demo and lyric/chord sheet.
So let's go face the year ahead ..... a lot of good work to do.
Blessings to you.

Greetings ..... from Johannesburg South Africa.
It will soon be the 18th Anniversary of one of the greatest world-changing events.....9-11. I remember exactly what I was doing at the time of hearing the news, as would hundreds of millions of others. Many years later (in 2016) I was asked to write a song about this event, and one of the images that burnt into my mind was a photo of one of the Fire-Chiefs (the father) standing in front of a mountain of rubble, holding the fire-helmets of both his sons that had lost their lives while carrying out their duties..... He looked broken yet immensely proud. My heart cried.
I'm hoping to find a top-quality New York artist/group, to bring this Tribute song to the people of New York, hopefully prior to the Anniversary date. Please help me with this task. My e-mail address is (expired link) .
The other two songs I am bringing are "This is the Child", and "Ode to a Friend" which will be on this site later next week. I hope you'll enjoy the new songs.
Out goes three of my other songs being 1) "I am my Brother's Keeper", 2) "This is the Moment" and 3) "Don't Quit". If any of these songs are on your "Favorites" list, let me know your e-mail address and I'll happily send the MP3 file to you.

Greetings to all ..... from Johannesburg South Africa.
It will soon be Autumn, and the mornings are fairly "chilly" ..... I love it because the evening and nights aren't so hot, which means I sleep better. But winter's aren't for me..... I love the warmth of our Highveld days. It's been a while since I sent a newsletter, so this month I'll be swapping-out 3 songs.
Out goes three of my better-performing songs 1) "I Want to Feel" which has had +92K plays 2) "And All the Hurting" +37K plays and 3) "African Day" +59K plays. If any of these songs are on your "Favorites" list, let me know your e-mail address and I'll happily send the MP3 file to you.
The songs I'm putting in are "Goodbye to You, Princess Di", "Wonderland" and "It is Me".....Hope you enjoy them. We all have certain GREAT life-events/memories that have occurred in our lifetimes .... for me one of these was Princess Diana's funeral. I was glued to the TV screen watching it all, and with it imprinted in my mind, I wrote the song "Goodbye to You, Princess Di". It's taken me 22 years to present it..... I hope it also brings back memories for you.
I hope you'll enjoy the songs. Please remember that all the songs being presented are intended to show my song-writing skills and not my performance skills. They are produced on no/low budget and must be considered as "semi-finished work". I hope these songs will touch your heart, and uplift you at this time. Thank you for your support during the past 22 months that I've been on this N1M platform.... it's been a great experience.
Blessings to you all.
