Hello to all my N1M friends. Hope you're well. It's now Autumn in Johannesburg ...... beautiful days, cool evening and chilly nights ...... not really cold yet, but we'll get there. This month I'll be swapping out a few songs. In comes 1. "Our Leaders" .....the type of leaders we're looking for in South Africa; 2. "Into a Different World" - a scene where despondency gets defeated..... I'd see this being performed by a Leonard Cohen type artist 3. "In Flanders Fields". I've put John McCrae's 1915 poem to a new melody. He wrote this poem after the horrendous 17 day and night long battle at Ypres during WW1. I'm hoping that this song will be used somewhere during Remembrance Day, in honour of those who sacrificed for our freedoms. 4. "Where are You Taking Me"... a "Chicago" type song needing a brass invasion. 5."The Messiah" which tells the story of the birth of our Saviour, 6. "Rom 8:37 In All these Things" .... a song of promise in these turbulent Covid times, and 7. "Always with You" ........... I'm not sure yet which songs I'll be removing, but you can always hear them on my full song catalogue on www.songarise.co.za . Please remember that these are all "Rough-Demo's".
