HAPPY TUESDAY! June 16th the Summer is underway and Bill & I (The Sulfurized Inhabitants of the Matchbook -SI) wanted to make sure you have a New Video and some new music to listen to over the weekend . Bill and I will be attending our temporary Mill today until J&R opens. Jazz and Biscuits is the 4th Video cut from our new concept album "Parallel Lives" which is NOW AVAILABLE on Spotify, Apple, Amazon, etc (See below) Bill just finished another video in his mad mad Laboratory ...Its going to be lousy when he goes back to work no more time for heavy creative stuff.. Jazz and Biscuits is the 3rd cut on the CD and its about our Adventure (4 day bender) to Richmond North Carolina to visit some college girls at their dorm when we were in our early 20's. At the time I was working in a PC board factory during the day in Clifton...and as the story/song goes, Bill called there saying he was my brother and there was a family emergency that was going to be able to go to worker a number of days. He then explained his plan to me ...how could I say no...LOL We left that night he called and drove straight through to Richmond in Bill's brand new Toyota truck...thankfully Roger made that drive straight through possible ...(We are from Lodi figure that out)...LOL When we got there the party continued for 4 days ....One of the late nights about 2-3 AM during much partying I was very hungry and had ask about us all going to a Diner....well they all laughed at me as they didn't know what a Diner was...so I explained and they told me there was no such thing in Richmond NC but they educated me to what a "Biscuit House" was, ( basically anything you wanted deep fried in lard on a biscuit) which is where we went. That would kill me now. The partying continued .....one of the girls the next day needed to pick up her car at the dealership so we all went while we were there we were flipping through a magazine and a article featuring a legendary Aerosmith-Journey-Ted Nugent concert Bill & I were both at in Giant stadium ....to our GREAT surprise we were able to pick Bill out in the audience. True story We still dont know how or why we ended up in a Jazz club that night...its a mystery like the pyramids On the return trip back home to Lodi we hit this terrible snow storm in Maryland...IN APRIL!....we hit an ice patch in the fast lane and spun across 4 lanes on the highway into a ditch .....the second time I almost bought the farm in a vehicle with Bill...luckily his truck 4 wheel drive Last footnote regarding "what should be on the radio"...we were always music snobs when it came to the music on radio so to remedy that Bill made these mixes WSBOTR (what should be on the radio) which was great rock, jazz and prog ...yeah I know we are still musical snobs....LOL Well obviously I had a GREAT time during our 4 day bender back then which is why I felt it necessary during these crazy time to tell you about it.....Plus poor Sonny never knows what the hell these songs are about and I dont want him to think we are insane when we give him lyrics to sing in our songs....LOL ENJOY!!!! Video- Jazz & Biscuits https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wf09_r0BW_A&feature=youtu.be https://youtu.be/wf09_r0BW_A Parallel Lives is our Quadrophenia-Just Replace London with Lodi The 17 songs are in chronological order of 17 experiences & major events that Bill and I have experienced (good & bad) over the decades as friends ....The interesting twist is that the songs are written through our two VERY DIFFERENT MUSICAL FILTERS on how we view, perceive, remember and experienced these events through these 17 songs ....LOL Many of you were a part of some of those experiences ....Maybe you will remember or recognize them in the lyrics...some of the songs may even have some guest appearances from some Angels from heaven ...but NO worries Bill made sure they brought their Harps ;-) Artistry & Camaraderie ( Whats that all about) Music for Bill is all about the "Artistry" so its all about the composition/song ...If the song sucks Bill is miserable .....and music for me is all about the "Camaraderie" its all about the musicians, friendships and experiences when creating the music...so If I don't like the people and Im not having a good time I'm miserable... Think about it ...why do you play music?
