About Franno
Franno is a self made Jamaican born Reggae artist living in Miami Florida. He was born in Annotto Bay, St. Mary, Jamaica, and was raised by a single mother of six. Franno always had a love for music and was fortunate enough to be exposed to different genres from a very young age. Franno was always writing songs and rhymes and would sometimes perform at local fairs and community concerts. Franno was raised in the Adventist church and sang in the church choir and a cappella groups.
Growing up, Franno moved from town to town from parish to parish but spent most of his teenage life in a small town in St Catherine called Harkers Hall, and attended St Mary's College where he founded a boy band called Fundz Crew. Fundz Crew became a campus sensation during Franno"s senior year but unfortunately the group fell apart after high school. In 2001 Franno migrated to the United states where he studied Music at Broward College. While he was enrolled he joined a jazz band where he played the alto sax and developed a stronger love and understanding for music in general.
After spending years exploring music, creating beats and writing songs, Franno finally answered his calling to become a conscious reggae artist. So he worked long overtime hours and save his money and bought studio equipment and founded Graffiti records.
in 2016 Franno teamed up with his brother Farinna and Haitian artist Max Jay and finally published his first single "Birthday". Since then his determination and love for the music kept him in the studio creating lyrical melodics such as "Children Don't Worry", "Black is Beauty" , “Good Old Days” and “Rastaman Tailored”.
His thought-provoking, heartfelt lyrics, coupled with his overwhelming energetic stage presence makes him one of the most charismatic entertainers to watch. Franno is vibrant and conscious. His mission is to spread authentic Jamaican reggae music and to keep the feel of the music alive through stories and proverbs always present in his music. Franno has endured hardship and poverty growing up and even though he has gone on to gain much success, his background helped to mold and humble the artist. one of Franno's main goals is to encourage people especially from poor backgrounds to find their passion and keep at it and success will come but when it comes, always remain humble. Hence his hashtag #besuccessfulbuthumble.
