Laura came to Friday's Veil as our female vocalist, joining us when she could with her busy work schedule. Bill LaPiana
Bill is a formally trained vocalist, actor and dancer who has been performing since early childhood. His involvement in multiple vocal groups & theatrical productions allowed him to participate in: TV specials, commercials, studio / CD recording sessions, and many mainstream "secular" venues and stages from New York to Las Vegas, Nevada. He grew up in a Christian home in W-NY, but lost his way after losing his father to cancer shortly after graduating from high school. However, an awesome woman (now his wife of 27 years), an employer who cared enough to invite him to a bible study, and a loving God who never left his side all guided him back to the right and narrow path of a life devoted to serving Christ. Since fully re-dedicating his life to Christ at a Promise Keepers conference in St. Petersburg, Florida's Thunder Dome on August 5, 1995 with 50,000 other men who were seeking to be better husbands, fathers, mentors, and leaders within their communities.. Bill has been focused on using his God-given talents in singing, acting, dancing, conducting & directing for sharing the hope, peace and joy that comes from placing our trust in and having a relationship with Jesus Christ. Bill currently attends Triangle Community Church in Apex, North Carolina where he lives with his lovely wife and four sons.

Unfortunately, our prior drummer (Jeff) suffered an elbow injury and was not able to return to the band in 2017. However, we were very blessed to take on our newest drummer - Mark - who comes to us from Nashville, TN where he did studio recording and played in several bands !

Greetings Friday's Veil Fans !! We have been looking back into our music archives from prior CD's, and there is one song that I would really like to refresh and bring back into our repertoire - as the message is still quite powerful today. We named the song "Chaos" - as it tells the story of a human dilemma that many people are faced with - and it asks the question "Will we be there for them when they need us? Will be be the light and the face of Christ when they need to make a choice of life or death?" PLEASE let us know if you like this song and if we should freshen it up and start performing it again !

Friday's Veil would like to ask for your prayers and good thoughts. The last couple of years have been constant "spiritual attacks" for each one of the band members and their families, BUT we all know that we are clearly doing what God wants us to do - as it has drawn attention from the evil one, who would seek to stop our efforts at sharing God's word through our music. Last year we walked together through several medical challenges, a horrible motor vehicle accident, various stresses and challenges at work, loss of our drummer to an elbow injury, etc..
This year it seems that the attacks have been focused on our keyboardist - Charles. In the past 2-months Charles has lost his mother-in-law, and most recently BOTH his father and his mother within 2-weeks of one another !! I can't even imagine the pain of losing three loved ones in such a short period of time, and thus our hearts are breaking for Charles.
Even at his most vulnerable time the devil continued to toss more challenges at him. Charles had called to ask me if I could sing "I Can Only Imagine" (my favorite song to perform - will share that story with ya'll at a later date) at his mom's funeral the next morning. However, we were out of state at a dude ranch with my wife and family for my first vacation in over a year and to visit my son who had just started a new job - and there was no way we could make it back in time - and we could not recover the cost of the pre-paid trip even if we were able to somehow get back.
I was crushed over not being able to do this for Charles. The devil did quite a job on me over the next several days of our vacation with thoughts of guilt and feelings that I had really let down my brother in Christ. However, Charles was very gracious when I returned to practice the next week - as he knew that I would never have said no unless it was totally impossible.
We celebrate the fact that Charles parents were both strong believers and followers of Jesus Christ - and thus we know that we will be with them again some day as we gather to worship our Lord and Savior !!

I wanted to take a moment to say THANK YOU for subscribing to our NumberOneMusic profile, and for welcoming us to the site by listening and recommending our music ! Since you have likely had a chance to listen to our title song "Lifted" - from our last CD - I wanted to share a special music video that I created for our fans. We were being asked if we could make a music video that also had the lyrics to the song - so I went to work and put together some video clips with great footage, as well as the lyrics, so everyone could follow or sing along.

All of the band members played in mainstream secular bands for many years. However, personal life challenges or tragedies led each of them to the foot of the cross - and to lives devoted to trusting, serving and following Jesus Christ. The band members now focus on glorifying God, and not themselves, through their music and personal testimonies.
Friday's Veil devotes much of their time towards performing in events that allow them to "give back" to individuals and communities across our nation - especially for those who are in need of financial, health and / or spiritual support. They can perform for medical facilities, fund raisers, charity events, missions, youth events, not-for-profits, church functions, corporate events, fairs, expos, festivals and other worthwhile community events.
NOTE : Charity events are often provided pro bono publico (for the public good)
with only travel and food expenses, and / or a love offering.
