Toddzilla, The Minister of Funk, guitarist and frontman extraordinaire, suffered a very real heart attack in January of 2012. During his subsequent recovery from quadruple bypass surgery, he couldn't do much but sit on the couch and play guitar. The time was spent well, crafting a new set of songs that truly came from his busted heart. Soon after he got back on his feet, he began the search for the right individuals to bring these new songs to life. He found them in drummer Philip Kelly and bassist Golden Hunt, two fantastically talented fellows who had wanted to play together to begin with. Zilla gave them the right excuse.

The chemistry was instantaneous, and the songs took shape quickly. The band of three instantly realized they had the workings of a classic power trio with a funky edge...just what they wanted. With the addition of background vocalists Brooke Kelly and Rudrani Devi to add the icing on the cake, FunkHammer was ready.

Zilla's healed up, and the Hammer's ready to fall. Come get Hammered!
