I’m back “finally “ in all actuality I’m surprised that more of you haven’t already unsubscribed or unfollowed me. Yeah, I know I’ve been an absolutely horrible person as to keeping this site up…anyway the gist of it is all is that I haven’t been able to do much work on my music here lately; but there are other reasons also. Music has always been a big part of my life, however it’s not my whole life because most often I am needed elsewhere. Still I enjoy making it and sharing it with you “guys “

But, another reason I haven’t had the drive to record much recently is because. In allot of ways I’m a perfectionist and if I can’t do it properly..( I think to myself) then I don’t even want to do it at all..again horrible I suppose.

I’ve also been torn and about what type of music I want to put out. I have written many acoustic pop songs. I had also written allot of new Blues songs as well. But made the mistake of not writing them down or recording them and I have forgotten most of them. I know silly me.. I’ve been trying to write a more intelligent blues song so I can grow as an artist. I would like to y’all’s opinion if you would be willing to listen to my pop songs …or if you just want to hear the blues songs. Please let me know.

I’m sure you’re ready to hear all about my personal life now as convoluted and complicated as it is. Well it does tie into my music as well in a big way and also explains why I’m reluctant to try and record things on my own.

Okay, you ready to hear this drum roll please. I have a very musical family. Most of them have done quite well for themselves. For example: have you heard of a music artist who is a nine time Grammy winner and was inducted into the Hall of Fame last year. Hint: we both have the same last name, She’s my younger half sister.

Well with that said, I wanted to wait until my life settled down in other areas before I put out any new music because I just might need her help.

Now for another big shocker, I have a husband Scott and a wife Amy. Yeah , I know what you’re thinking I’m a lousy. I mean of all things nerve to marry two people. But, I’m bisexual and I simply can’t choose between them and they don’t want me to.

Well, elsewhere I’ve been working very hard at times and sometimes it goes really slow I hate downtime. Well my Ibanez weathered black Mikro Bass got here today; so I’ve been hard at work recording rough demos of some of the latest songs I’ve been working on. I don’t have my full studio set up yet so I’ve been recording them on my old Boss Micro BR, and the results are not half bad. When I get them in semi listenable shape on going to post them on Number One Music.

In other personal news. My personal life has been a shambles lately . I’m trying to find a new apartment in a new city. I got very sick of Boone NC, no Blues scene there what so ever. But I guess I could have switched to playing Blue Grass. But no I don’t think so.

Well I really don't know if it is a well known fact;, but I'm a transgender artist. I think there may be a few sources on the web that may mention it. However, I didn't really go out of the way to advertise it, still as now the point is moot. I was a tran/lesbian now not really sure how to catagorize myself any more. I had major surgery which I wasn't expected to survive. I had blood clots on my small bowels which resulted in me losing 3/4's of it. I had lost over forty pounds in a little less than two months. I am now thin as a rail; a little bit to thin I suppose. But after my operation I learned that I could no longer take hormones which effectively has brought a abrupt stop to my transition. So I have decided to practice Radical Acceptance and bite the bullet and go back to my male persona . I still have allot of my female characteristics which will never go away completely., and to all my lesbian fans I'm still a trans/lesbian at heart. I'm keeping my name and going by Gabby which is what most people call me anyway. Hard at work regaining my chops and writing songs which I hope to record real soon. Peace everybody...

My membership on here is about to expire and I can't afford to renew right now. However they say they will continue to host my music ; which is good. But most of the features will be unavailable , like mailing list manager so I probably won't be able to contact you directly anymore. I am grateful that you all enjoy my music, and once again I would like to hear back from you. So don't be a stranger.

I just happened to google myself and found that somehow all my songs were now available on YouTube . I've been meaning to do that for quite sometime but didn't really know how to go about doing it, But one or more of my fans must have did it for me and for that I am eternally grateful. Please let me know if it was one of you guys so I can thank you personally. Please tell all your friends about them being available now to watch and listen to now


On another note I don't know how much longer I can continue to maintain a decent presence on here because my partner has been unable to work for a while, and things are really tight these days' But we'll find away to keep in touch hopefully. It would have been allot easier if they still had a pay by the month option, But it is what it is. as always please feel free to write and say hello if nothing else..peace Gabby

Hello once again, not really that much news to share except that I have finally purchased a new bass guitar that I can almost play well . It’s a short scale bass that plays more like a guitar but still sounds like a bass. Still working on recording my next album but it is slow going since I’m primarily a musician and not a sound engineer . On my last album a friend did all the recording for me on a four track recorder . so I’m pretty much trying to learn everything on my own the hard way.

So please bare with me for a while longer as I work all the bugs out. It’s coming abet slowly, but still coming. As always I love to hear back from you so please write if you feel the urge, Peace, love and all that good happiness stuff

Well I'm finally making progress in my attempts to record new material . I have started using a much more user friendly software program. It's not supposed to be as good as the one I have been using. But hey, it works for just fine for me. Not much else to report, just as always feel free to write me back with comments, suggestions or even critisms . Thanks peace

Yes the title says it all because thats exactly what I did. Took me forever to climb back up. I started a new relationship and now have a live in partner. It takes awhile to get used to, but we're managing okay for what it's worth. We're playing house and since the only work I do is music. I have more time than my partner does so I also get to play house wife and I make a horrible one because by nature I'm a slob. But oh well it is what it is. Now on to something more about my music. Hollow Victory was recorded in a cabin on a Fostex Four track recorder. A friend of mine who had been recording his own CD's for years did all the actual recording and mixing for me ; all I did was sing and play my guitar in addition to writing and recording in the space of a mere two weeks, and most of the solos were first takes and seemingly divinely inspired the whole album because it all came to me. Anyway, shortly after the album was recorded Chad finished college and moved back to Miss. to teach music education. So I thinking what in the heck do I do now? MY brother bought me a nice Imac and recording software and all the equipment that goes with it. But it's not exactly as user friendly as I would like and my learning curve is moving very slow My cousin sends me bass tracks and we are in the process of putting all together. I haven't forgot about you"guys" Be patiant . And once again I'd like to thank you for listening and would love to hear from you. Now come on don't be shy. Until next time....Gbbby

I'm sorry I haven't written you guys in a while. My personal life has been a shambles; but I am recovering well, thankfully. I actually had lost interest in my music for a while. But with the help of purchasing a new guitar to inspire me I once again back in the saddle. .Thank goodness for that I suppose. Now if I could get the hang of my recording equipment I would be getting somewhere. But anyway, I just wanted to once again say thanks for listening to my music and supporting me. Hello, it's me again. Been a while as usual because I always lose track of everything. I know typical female and I'm not even a blonde . So what is my excuse? Heck if I know. Well in other news; I finally started recording my next CD . But it is slow going because I'm not as technically inclined as I'd like to be. My first CD was actually recorded on a Fostex 4 channel recorder and I had a musician friend who handled all the recording and mixing of my CD for me. But he has since moved to another state and I'm left stratching my head turning to learn how to record using my Studio One software. It's definately a bear so far, but I am learning abet slowly. However, I'll get there eventually. The town I live is not very big on Blues music. Everything is Country and Bluegrass here. So my only real outlet is you guys here and other internet sites. I haven't been able to find a bassist here so my cousin who lives in Atlanta and I have decided that we're going to record it by sending tracks back and forth via the internet. Still waiting for him to email me the first bass track back. So please bare with me for a little while longer. As always I'd love to hear from you so don't be shy and write me back.; anything is fine critques or just to say hello would be fine.
