Well, I have bought a book on mixing to get me motivated to really hit the (literally in the garage - well a room behind the garage) garage studio and redo all my songs. At present, I'm getting together some extra helpful bits and pieces like more versatile mic stands, pop filters etc. I should have at least a song or two done before end of the year :)
Read moreI have built a sound proofed room for recording in the back of my garage and will start doing a (hopefully) better job of recording songs to set them up again on N1M. The current ones are "live" recordings in an ordinary room. I'll try laying track at a time and mixing & mastering. I'm reading up and practising at the moment so hopefully I can start putting some up later this year.
Looking forward to other new songs from all of you too. We have New Zealand Music Month coming up: May. Lots of live and original music happens in all sorts of ways. All the best music to you all

Recording at home has developed from that and the plan is to improve recording techniques to re-record songs with a technical edge and some more backing instrumentation. So far mostly just a live played (home studio) recording with a little mastering.
