I came across the music of General-GT here on N1M. Fantastic. Roots. Real. His songs are honest and down home. He tells the truth and his style brings the listener down to earth through his soul. Keep on doing it General-GT! I've never been to Jamaica although it's a place I've always dreamed about going to. For many years I was deeply into 60's-'70's r&b and I loved it. Then I got the opportunity to sing with a real reggae band from Brooklyn NY. The experience was so important to me-to my voice. Singing reggae is quite different for me than singing blues or r&b. How lucky I was to be working with musicians who were also working with artists such as Sister Carol and many other noted reggae artists. I'll never forget the times onstage when the bass would hit me in the back with the neck of his bass because I was singing the wrong harmony or something like that. The bass's name at that time was One Drop but later on when he became the lead singer of his own group he changed his name to Ras Droppa. Blessings to General-GT. Keep on doing what you're doing. This utterly insane planet needs all the truth it can get-and you can give it to them!

Yes, love Is the word, and I love your sound ,I closed my eyes and it felt like I was in Jamaica, I could almost hear the waves,it's something I would Listen to first thing in the morning when I'm having my coffee to start my day.Thank you I appreciate this song.
